Broken Saints

Just seen the DVD for this while browsing around Woolworths.

Never heard of it before - has anyone here seen it?

If so, is it worth getting?

The trailer doesn't seem to give much away.

There is a preview of it on the Nightwatch DVD I got a while back.

It not exactly cutting edge animation, as it seems mostly simple flash animation -hence it gets billed as a "moving comic". The preview was only one five minute segment so I cant comment on the story but I gather its supposed to be pretty good.

I had made up my mind to investigate further if that helps....

I watched the snippets on the Nightwatch DVD too.
My opinion was that I'm not sure I could watch 4 hours of that animation style.
The story sounds good, and I recall they hired some good actors to do the voices.
However, ?27 is a lot for something I'm not too sure about.

You used to be able to watch the whole thing on the site. I watched the first couple of episodes then got bored with it, but that's no real guide.

The guy who wrote this lives over here in Vancouver i believe.
He has apparently got up his own arse a little since this thing got popular.
I also got bored after a couple of episodes.
