That biotronic sticker figure looks like it might be early Kevin O'Neill.

The cover's Bellardinelli, but the interior is a copy that's been completely redrawn, changing the mouth and cheek, but is essentially a trace. Definately not Bellardinelli's hand there, but possibly O'Neill again.

Possibly Doug Church, he did a lot of revision and touch up to artwork, and he was on 2000ad then.

If these were given out to Newsagents, then its doubtful many would have survived. Still, its often suprising what gets saved over the years, and then ends up on places like E-bay.

@ charleswalter1860, did the person you bought your copy from say how he came by it?

Fatboydale

bump ...still looking for flyer ...would trade Original art for one ...

Hello Judge Jack

He also sent me the receipt from the comic shop he bought it from though without looking for it I cannot remember the name of that shop.

If you want me to look for it I will go through my boxes?

Cheers charleswalter1860 - it all helps, as they say. Did they ever say how they had come by this item?

As a piece of (what would be seen as) throwaway promotional 'bumpf' i suspect not many of these would have survived til the present day. Thus making this (potentially) very rare now.

How many K's will Dale have to offer now, to snag your copy?  ;)

EddieHitler

Thanks for the reply.

As you say many must have been thrown away but they must have been very confident/keen about their product to of gone to all the effort of distributing a 'card' promo or was that the norm?

It was the first time I had ever seen or heard about this promo.

I always thought the IPC promos were the pink(?) pages in their other publications that the newsagents received or was that DC Tom?

I think Dale is looking for a nm copy as mine is more f/vf.

Should I send barney a copy?

Spikes

Out of interest, I see some of the artwork from the promo (Dan Dare) was used in the adverts that featured in other IPC comics.
Got a few of these adverts, but none i have feature this.

*Caught this particular image on Henry Flint's Twitter page.

That particular image was, i believe, from a issue of Buster.
