If we were fortunate enough to be chosen, what sort of time commitment are we talking about? I'm thinking a sabbatical from the crap job, as annual leave may not cover it

My take on it is Dredd has always been fairly anti-mutant but when he met the Fargo clan he realized they were decent people, merely victims of bad circumstance.

Dredd has never been anti mutant, just anti-lawbreaker. Remember Novar from the Cursed earth way back in 1978? Or his famous quote from that same story "When someone calls on the law for help, be he mutie, alien, cyborg or human, the law cannot turn a blind eye.... and I AM THE LAW!"

Every mutant he meets in the City had always been by definition a lawbreaker, so would merit no respect or sympathy from Dredd. Dredd has been questioning some of the more draconian aspects of the law for many years (remember stories like "John Cassavetes is dead"?) but would only ever tackle them by the book. He held an election, played it fairly, lost and will accept the decision, because that's the law. He will never lead a rebellion against Francisco or Justice Dept unless it turns out that there's some criminal skullduggery going on ...such as finding out that Mayor Ambrose is behind Francisco's candidacy and is really PJ Maybe, perhaps.

However the big problem I face is going without Dredd every week. I am so hooked up into this story I cant bear to think I wont be able to read it (I'm sure the strip had a subconscious bearing on me joining the Police)

shit, now that DOES scare me  :o

My friend met a man in India with 14 chickens inside him.

He'd been unwisely popping the Immodium for a dose of the squits and refused to eat most Indian food. There was a place that did whole roast chickens, and he'd had one a day for a fortnight without..err..making a deposit.

I blame that van that nearly killed him. he's never been quite...right...since.  :o

Nope, but it just got added to my list! I'm currently waiting for a workmate to lend me 'Old Man Logan' as soon as he's got the last parts.

bub?
Sorry, I came over all Wolverine for a moment!  ;D

But surely to end with Dredd riding into the sunset is a huge cliche? A last cut to the brilliantly defective lawyer-bot punctures that obvious 'moment' - genius!

In short, don't presume to second-guess your betters, bub!

Currently reading 'Marvel Platinum: The Definitive Incredible Hulk'.
oooh, I bought that a few weeks ago. It's a pretty good selection, but I would have liked to see it extend to Planet Hulk / World War Hulk. I didn't remember those 'Maestro' stories at all, but I now know how to torture the Hulk - just break his neck and then force him to have quadraplegic sex with half a dozen Betty clones. Simple!

ha, I'm off to Photobucket to whip up an ill-informed witch hunt!

Other than that, no. You've officially read every good comic, I'm afraid.

Website and Forum / Re: Forum - Bug reports and issues

When a large image is posted, should it push the profile and avatar off the right of the screen? Most posts are neatly lined up with a small strip of illustrated blue border at each side, but something like Mygrimmbrother's post today on the doodle thread pushes everything right. Not a biggie, it's easy enough to scroll over to see who posted on the rare occasions it's needed, but thought I'd mention it just in case you weren't aware and it is a bug.  :)

I cannot fault your logic. Nice design there, welcome to the board
