Hi everyone,

I'm the (sub-) editor of a new small press quarterly anthology called 9th Art Magazine. It's a not for profit venture; neither you nor we will make any money from this but we have funding to print at least 10,000 high quality copies (like 2000AD or DC/Marvel quality) which we're working on FP and other local comic shops to give away. We get our funding through generous donations from various art funds and individuals, and while the magazine is free, people can donate what they think it's worth. We're always looking for new writers and artists and there is a lot of talent in these forums. We want to be a platform for new talent to get spotted in the industry.

Here are some links to our magazine:

If you do want to read the issues online, they're read using a flash animation. It's not obvious at present (will fix soon) but you have to pull down the top right hand corner of the page by clicking and dragging with your mouse. You'll also see on the front cover that it says it's a student publication. Don't worry about that, anyone can write for us.

The submission deadline for our next issue is April 20th, so we're leaving it a bit late for that, but if you are interested, our theme is Frontiers, we're looking for submission between 1 and 4 pages either from writers or artists or both (we can pair you up with someone if you only write or do the art). Scanned images should be at least 300dpi and the pages (without borders) are an odd 14cm by 21.5 cm (width by height). Feel free to email me material for future issues too.

We'll be at the Comica Comiket on April 21st in London:

Thanks and hope to hear from you soon!

Looks very interesting - I'll put my thinking cap on :-)

I've been lucky enough to be published by these guys and it's a quality magazine. I'd suggest you get submitting!

Thanks Dan, and we'd happily have more of your great work in the future.

Just a note to anyone thinking of submitting: It would be good if you could send me the script or rough sketches/thumbnails or both before doing the whole thing just in case I have any editing suggestions.
