Coffin Bound is a really inventive spin on the trope of "dark supernatural horrors that exist in the shadows of society."

Finally got the chance to read Soviet #1 and also really enjoed it. Keen to see where this is going. Ennis has a real knack for writing Punisher stories that feel 'fresh'. Welcome home, Garth.

Very nice artwork. As others have said great sense of motion and energy in the car chase page.

Books & Comics / Supermom: Expecting Trouble
19 November, 2019, 08:23:37 PM
Please excuse me as I join Team Shameless Self Promotion. This is because we've entered the final week for pre-ordering my new comic Supermom: Expecting Trouble. It's a comedy about a superhero who is out to stop her archnemesis from taking over the world. There's just one problem: she's pregnant... and he's the father. Cue the world's strongest mother versus the world's evilest father fighting over the fate of the planet and their unborn child.

A PDF including 14 preview pages, full info on the comic, the true story behind the comic etc can be downloaded here: http://www.mediafire.com/file/57986rnlgk0itfz/Supermom_Preview_Pack.pdf/file

If you like what you see please consider pre-ordering Supermom as it's the only way to guarantee a copy and would help us out tremendously. Final cut-off is 25th November.

And if you know of anyone else who might be interested in the comic please pass on the details to them.

I was enjoying Outer Worlds until itsuddenly stopped halfway through, ran the end credits and  hoped no one would notice.

I actually really liked the length of the game! Thought it was really refreshing to play a Fallout-style RPG that didn't overstay its welcome or go for the quantity over quality approach a lot of bit sprawling games these days feel they need to adhere to. Writing was consistently good, characters were great, loved it!

I did really enjoy the game (and it nicely filled the OG Fallout void made by that franchise going online) but personally it just felt like a sudden ending in what I thought was going to be the turning point in the storyline that would lead to the game's third act. Still, if they bring out a sequel I will pick it up.

I'm still not sure if I'm enjoying Harleen or not. It's yet another retread of the "Harley and the Joker first meet" story but there's something about it that makes me believe it might be going into more original territory. Maybe give it one more issue...

Layers of Fear 2: You play an actor invited to shoot a mysterious film onboard a ship, directed by an unseen director who encourages you to go to a dark place and do terrible things. The ship becomes ever more warped and hellish in a Silent Hill type way as you discover the truth behind who you are and why you're here.
I'd say this is well worth the time for any survival horror fans.

Wounds. A barman finds a lost phone in his pub filled with photos of murdered people and videos of creepy weird shit. His life very quickly becomes in every sense a waking nightmare.
I really wanted to like this film as it builds well, sets up some intriguing mysteries and has some good scares. But then it just suddenly ends with huge plot threads left dangling. So many set ups with no pay offs.
And so sadly not worth your time.

Making my way through the complete (so far) run of John Lees and Alex Cormack's Sink. Dark and fun stories of a twisted version of Glasgow filled with evil clowns and fox-masked killers.
