Cooper Owen Lot 122 - Original Judge Dredd and Street Judge armour from the 1995 film
Elements of the Judge Dredd costume and Street Judge items as designed by Gianni Versace, to include the original shoulder and elbow armour actually worn by Sylvester Stallone in the starring role (including original costume labels with his name on the interior) a ceremonial chain, gloves, gauntlets (2), kneepads (2) belt, Dredd buckle, pouches (3), boots, codpiece and Street Judge helmet. (Q)

Oh, and they're selling an Aspen guard rifle as well.

except that the auction title called it a Judge Dress Hunter gun, so it won't be getting as many hits.

120 - A Grey Aspen guard rifle, 'Judge Dredd', 1995
A large steel and plastic gun with oversized barrel, complete with light up screen. These guns were carried by the Aspen guards when Dredd is sentenced to the Wastelands.

I hadn't realised Versace did the costume.  I thought it was okay, it wasn't litle things like bikes and costumes that bothered me.

Although the film's credits say 'Judge Dredd Armour Costume Designed By GiannI Versace' I think VG's involvement was exaggerated for publicity purposes. None of the Versace designs I've seen bear any resemblance to the final Dredd costume and the account of the costume development in The Making of Judge Dredd doesn't even mention him. In fact, if that book is anything to go by, Sly himself had more to do with Dredd's costume than Gianni.

One thing's for sure, Rebellion won't be using Versace on their Dredd films.

My GRUD, no wonder they looked shit!! As bad as the feckin nonsense that adorned Bruce Willis etc in The Fifth Elephant!!!

Versace and the other ponce should be designing simp outfits if anything!!
