I have baths not showers.
Shockingly enough, an insecure friend (OK, my only friend) once used this admission as proof that he was more masculine than I.

Once a day unless i have done nothing then i dont bother.
I have washed in rivers and streams if i am in the Great Outdoors.
No option for "when time allows" or "when I can be bothered"?

I kind of judge it on the condition of my hair.
The close it gets to becoming a solid, congealed mass, the closer I am to perhaps thinking about working towards looking to having a shower sometime in the reasonable near future. Perhaps.
Ewwww. For me, it's as often as I have time for, and whether or not I think I need it. So last week: not at all. This week? Saturday, Monday, maybe Wednesday... we'll see how it goes.

I am not OCD or anything but i dont like to go for more than a day or 2 without.I dont smell but i feel yukky if i dont .
Even washing under a cold tap or a cold shower is preferable to not washing.
I'm sorry, but I really need to shower everyday - best for other people if I shower twice on a hot day!

Every day (often twice) if I've been on the bike. Now and again when I haven't. Does one three-hour long bath count as four showers?
It's not how clean you get that counts, it's how long the effects last.
We don't have a shower only a bath so not a fair question ;)
I refer the honorable gentleman to the answer Floyd gave on the other thread: for the purposes of the poll, baths count as showers.
One bath is one shower, unless you get out and replace the dirty water with a clean tubful!

my god its true, Poms dont shower often. I shower at least once a day sometimes twice if its hot.
Have a house mate of British decent and he doesn't shower at all on the weekends unless itrs going out time.

Merely a coincidence of frequency, I assure you. The only fluid in my shower is water. And shampoo. And shower gel. And conditioner.

I think I need to redress the balance of this stinky board a bit. I don't actually own a shower, but I have a bath at least once a day. Twice in the summer.
Really wish I could get my landlord to install a shower...
I can see this poll being quoted somewhere as proof that around half of sci-fi nerds skimp on their personal hygiene.

I almost always bathe once a day and if I don't I feel like a failure.

But up here i don't feel the need, theres the soaking from the elements everytime one pokes a nose out the door, theres no other humans for 73 miles, its too bloody cold to wash, and showering might damage the hairshirt & make the barbed wire rusty.

London does that to you and its true about not washing where you are as i found the Lake District was the same.

Yes you are absolutly right thats why i said do both but to shower only in the mornings makes no sense to me unless you dont get dirty.
Its the perfect way to wake up.
I am not that sweaty but i like to go to bed feeling clean.I hardly sweat even in hot weather.
