just watched eps 2 and 3 and it seems to be suffering from the same thing as all the other seasons - crazy hectic exciting episode followed by boring meandering episode.  i just like to see zombies getting whacked and humes getting their throats munched.  I'm a simple man with simple pleasures.  But episode 2 was great.
I think that would get pretty tired very quickly. You need to have time to invest in the characters and their predicament otherwise you might as well be watching a compilation of fatal blows from a video game.

I really enjoyed the first three series, but series 4 doesn't seem to be doing anything at all. 6 episodes in and virtually nothing happening character/plotwise.
Cheers
I really don't see that.

We've had some new characters introduced without too much clunky exposition(for the most part), we've had some great Herschel character stuff, we've had the flu plot - which is a fantastic (and realistic) twist on your usual Zombie apocolypse line of "If you have a gun or can run, you will be fine", we've had Carol's actions and the consequence of, we've had seome great single episode cameos ("Zombie Girl" and the injured teens that Rick and Carol meet up with, we've had Rick turning ploughshares into swords, we've had Michonne and her questing etc. etc.

You've had some fantastic Zombie set pieces as well - the Supermarket, the chase through the Vet college, the ivy covered garage, the crumbling fences, the car running into the herd, the first flu realted outbreak, the outbreak in the isolation section.

And I'm only up to Episode 4.

This, for me, is great telly.

To be fair I thought the end of season finale was excellent, and I will keep watching.

As regards to Carol; I did find it a bit odd that Rick chose to ask her to leave. In a previous episode (I believe series 3) they all stormed through a Hermits hut, Michonne stabs him, then they threw him out to the horde of Zombies without a second thought. Now Rick seems to have regained his moral compass, and can arbitrarily cast judgement on others.*

*Carol's actions can't be defended in any shape or form, just trying to illustrate my point.

Thanks for that!  Went after & got Azura's star but not sure what I can do with it....

In Oblivion and Skyrim 'Azuras Star' acts as a re-usable 'Greater Soul Gem'. Any souls you trap can be used to recharge magic weapons/items.

Prog / Re: Prog 2014

I'm two stories in at the mo.

Dredd - Excellent. Great art and story. The 'Binary code' song nearly made me spray my cuppa all over the Prog.

Ulysses Sweet - I actually enjoyed this more than the Dredd story. Very funny, and the Black and white artwork is very nice.

Saving the rest for later.

The Lone Ranger.

I actually quite enjoyed it. Very funny in parts and despite some cheesy moments, a good watch overall.
