John. Was wondering if you have recorded anywhere a list of Judges who have died throughout the years a kind of In Memorium type article. Also i know you are planning a visual source for the Judges uniform, do you have any plans to do the uniforms of other judges from around the world?

Suppose that could work greg. Also have them kill one of the main Dredd characters for the shock value.

I thought that it was good we explored deadworld in various stories but as soon as that avenue was exhausted it became stale. We could follow Death and the lads on another world but it would just be a repeat of Necropolis Judge Death etc. As i said he is very one dimensional  and i do agree with Gregg when he says this is his strength but i think it would take something extra special for Death to work again effectively in Dredds Universe.

I think the problem with Judge Death and his mates is that their only main aim is total anhilation of life which to be fair is a bit one dimensional and you can only wheel this idea out so many times before it becomes repetative. Same with Mean Machine in that all he did was butt people and be generally stupid so i can see why they have put him to rest. On the other hand characters like PJ Maybe are more interesting in that they are more intelligent and the scope to build up the character is far more appealing(although PJ is a serial killer and also kills people). Judge Death has become less menacing than he was and more comic which dosnt really work for me(Judgement on Gotham the exception). I am fortunate enough to remember the first appearance of Death and it was at the time mind blowing. I think these characters have had their day unless Mr Wagner can come up with storylines involving them which have the same impact as the early stuff, i very much doubt it.

Just looking through some old progs and stuff and was wondering what everyones favourite piece of Dredd artwork was by four of the greatest. Carlos Ezquerra, Brian Bolland, Mike Mcmahon and Ron Smith.

Carlos Ezquerra....I always thought Carlos drew Dredd better when he wasnt in MC1, some of his best stuff was done on Koburn, Origins, but my fav piece will always will be the Johnny Alpha/Dredd final page in Judgement Day.

Brian Bolland.....will always be remembered for that center spread of the Dark Judges but my favourite bit of Bolland Dredd work is the cover of the 1983 Judge Dredd Annual with all his old foes behind him.

Mike Mcmahon.....Block Mania springs to mind but Mcmahon was excellent when he drew the Angel Gang in The Judge Child Quest.

Ron Smith....One story always stood out for by Ron Smith...Pirates of the Black Atlantic was superb.

Do any of you guys ever get together for a beer and a chin wag about 2000ad stuff and/or other things? I'm inbetween Sheffield, Nottingham and Derby just wondered if there are any other Dreddheads nearby.

Wow. John, just checked all your other stuff and it awesome. What an incredible piece of work this is. I cant praise you enough for it.

Will the up coming movie revive Dreddcon? Be nice.

With all te hype about the new movie i decided to watch the 1995 version and have come to the conclusion that no matter how many times I watch it, I cant relate to it all. I then decided to read the comic adaptation drawn by Ezquerra and by reading this I realised what a truely awful script it was!!! The artwork is ok but you get the feel that Carlos wanted to get this one out of the way as quickly as possible. The colouring is awful and the script is really bad as its nearly word for word with the movie. I dont think i will ever be reading this again!!!!!!!

Was wondering if there was/is a detailed map of Mega City One showing all the sectors. sector houses, grand hall etc. Have been reading since prog 1 and all i can remember is a map that showed you the 3 Mega Cities and one in the Megazine which showed the world view.
