Verbal tics can be grating especially when you've identified one and are constantly waiting for it to appear. I stopped listening to Radio Clyde's football commentaries when I noticed Derek Johnstone kept saying 'You've got to say...' every single sentence.

I thought I was going mental - surely other people noticed who could point it out. You've got to say his producer was derelict in his duty, sending me to Radio Scotland where there isn't an advert for the Sunday Mail every five minutes. I mean you've got to say etc. etc.

I think RTD needs his own script editor...

And that's not the first time he's throw in a crap joke at the end of an episode that screws up the story and character logic.
