Megazine - American Issues

I've just got Volume 1 of The Megazine down from my loft and issue 3 is in the smaller American format with a harder card cover.

I had forgotten that I even had this.
All the other issues are the regular UK ones so I guess for some reason my newagent didn't get issue 3 and I went to a comic shop to get it later but could only get the U.S. version.

Vol1 of the Meg was all in that format, and changed to the larger one we know and love in a later issue- the exact details of which I expect you'll be furnished with by someone soon.

The smaller US version ran for 3 issues.

Must have cost a fortune to print two formats.

The US format was printed in Spain by SQP, as part of its license to republish Fleetway material in the US, IIRC. The fact it only lasted three issues should tell you something about the cost basis.
