How did you get started? Is it very competitive?

Every single person who reads comics either wants to be a writer or an artist. It was a struggle for the first ten years but things changed when my daughter was born and I really kicked myself into gear. My career took off around ten years ago when I started writing for Marvel, which is great as I wasn't earning much before
