http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2000AD-Subscriber-039-s-special-limited-edition-prints-/231380840977?

These are the four special edition prints sent out as a subscriber's bonus. With art by Frank Quitely, Greg Staples, Clint Langley and Leigh Gallagher.

This is not one of my regular charity auctions. I don't need them and am selling them on eBay to offset some of my double subscription costs.

99p start price and genuine postage only P&P costs so have a look if interested.

This is issue 1 of the Judge Dredd Uprise US style reprint from 2000AD.

Signed on the front cover by art droid Ben Willsher today at Forbidden Planet.

New and unread, in a bag and board and posted to you in an A4 card backed envelope. I'll also print out the photos and put them in the envelope as well.

This is a 100% charity auction for Cancer Research UK with free p&p from me, so every penny you pay goes to a good cause. Please dig deep and make a bid.

As you can see from the pictures I also have the variant cover signed as well and that is up as a separate charity auction with the same details.

Find it in my other items.

Cheers

Eamonn

Other Reviews / Winter Special
29 October, 2014, 08:29:35 PM

Cover by Templesmith is fantastically creepy and unlikely to be as controversial as the a summer special cover.

Dredd. Another special and another relic with weird powers, or maybe it's all in the perp's head, or maybe it's a movie. Confused and didn't care too much.

Rogue Trooper. Lovely art and the chips are fine but Rogue should know better than to mess with a likely booby trapped battlefield corpse. Still hoping he gets a return to the regular Prog.

Alienist. Bad timing that this comes just after the episode of Who where Clara got to play the Doctor. Nice idea and looks good though.

The Terror Tale is suitably nasty and bloody for this gory issue.

Defoe. Mills and Gallagher are as great as ever and it's an interesting prequel. Best of the bunch for me.

Anderson. Looks great but it's another day at the psychic coal face for Mr and Mrs Anderson's little girl. Nice to see Justice department using resources instead of just locking them up in the psych cubes.

Overall I thought the Summer Special was slightly stronger but it was a good read for Halloween week. And fantastic Percival art to finish off as well.

One more before the biggie after Thought Bubble.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2000AD-Prog-277-signed-by-John-Wagner-and-Carlos-Ezquerra-/231351099026?

2000AD Prog 277 from 1982 - a classic Carlos Ezquerra cover form the Judge Dredd story Fungus.

Signed on the front cover by John Wagner and Carlos Ezquerra at NICE-con in Bedford.

Comic condition. Neat and flat with off white pages, some brown staining on spine and on a few of the last pages in the comic. Tiny nick tear lower right corner front cover.

Newsagent name mark lower right cover edge. No tears, scribbles or clipping inside.

Pictures as above. I have printed the four signing photos and they are in the comic bag along with 2 backing boards.

Posted in a card backed envelope with next day dispatch from a 100% eBayer.

This is a 100% charity auction for Cancer Research UK and I'm paying the P&P so every penny you donate goes to a good cause so please dig deep and make a bid.

Cheers

Here is another special signed 2000AD print. A special edition colour print. A3 size 30 x 42cm

Signed by John Wagner and Carlos Ezquerra at last year's Lakes comic art festival. I've been holding onto it but I don't think it is really suitable for the wall of my surgery office!

Pictures as above, somehow I seem to have missed Carlos signing it. Sorry! I will print these out and put them in the envelope with the print. This one has been rolled up since I got it, so posted in a cardboard poster tube

Once again this is a 100% charity auction for Cancer Research UK and I'm paying the P&P so every penny you donate goes to a good cause so please dig deep and make a bid.

Next day postage. Check my other items for some more charity 2000AD auctions.

I will make this a 7 day auction so if you get one of the others and want to hang on for this one then you might be able to save me some postage while still contributing to Cancer Research.

Any questions please ask.

Cheers

And the return of some big trouble from the past for Dredd
#195
This is my project for the next few months. I am collecting droid signatures in a copy of the Art of Judge Dredd which eventually (November) will go up on eBay as a 100% charity auction for cancer research with free postage from me.

So far it has been to the British library talk and collected Pat Mills, Dave Gibbons and Fraser Irving.

At ICE in Brum I collected another 14 signatures including these fine fellows:

D'Israeli, Winslade, Taylor, Roach, Dayglo, Talbot, Oliver, Edginton and Teague.

If the artists have a cover in the book I am asking them to sign that but I am also just collecting anyone who has worked for 2000AD at any point.

Next up is the Bedford NICE con where I hope to get John and Carlos to do the introduction page, and Steve Dillon to sign the hard back cover. Plus there are another 9 droids I hope to get there.
It's last outing will be at Thought Bubble after which it will go up on eBay with lots of fanfare.

Watch this space.
cheers

Lots of reasons not to read the IDW series but for the next week price shouldn't be one of them.

Other Reviews / Judge Dredd IDW #21 The Stakes
16 July, 2014, 02:59:00 PM
After the relentlessly cartoony story and artwork of the previous episode we get a much darker look at the goings on in Anderson's head.
Feels like a different writer, or as if Swierczynski has been reading Alan Grant's recent Megazine story Dead End.
This is backed up by dark and nightmarish artwork by Shane Pierce which makes this issue feel like something much closer in tone to the original.

Does this signal a new grittier IDW Dredd? Or will we be back to comic japes next time?

With the trades being reissued this year can we expect to see they showing up in the iPad add as well?
I'm starting at the beginning and wondering about future purchases.
