I am currently teaching at a college in the middle east and a colleague started teahing an elective course called 'comics and culture'. I donated a big pile of megazines and floppies (reluctantly) to help with the course material and it turned out that the arab kids love them as they have never seen anything like it before.

Seemingly the sinister/dexter floppies are among the most popular.

Some of the other tutors have started reading them as well. Hopefully have made a few converts anyway.
