General / Chris Weston "AKIRA Style Dredd"
07 February, 2017, 04:08:21 PM
After showing Chris via FB my Tribute re creation of his AKIRA style DREDD image, we chatted some and Chris then took time out to secure me a Print (he had none left), which is autographed and sent on (All paid for ofc).

Arrived last week but my boy was rather poorly last week so first chance had to get it out for a proper look. WOW!!

Anyway used the 3A Lawmasters to hold it down for photos.

My Tribute.
The Print.

General / Plans to the PROWLER TANK aka MANTA Tank
23 December, 2016, 12:18:43 AM
Grabbed the could of cut aways on Google but was wondering if anyone has Large scale plans of the Tank?

I ask as planning to do a 1/12TH Manta for my Sector House collection.

Have a H-Wagon I am finishing off on, though any help with rather large plans of a Manta surely would help.

Thanks.

Creative Common / 1/12th scale JUDGE WORLD.
28 January, 2016, 08:49:20 PM
Hey Tharg fans.

Well got suckered into a new scale I spent years avoiding and that is 1/12th scale LOL (was bandia's fault with their S.H. Figuarts Captain America figure).

I am however fickle on who I purchase as the wallet can only stretch so far with multi scales.

So got the Mezco as a Christmas pressie and the 3A Lawmaster/Dredd combo too, plus a single 3A Dredd figure as a birthday present (beauty of being a Dec baby).

So the Mezco you no doubt have all seen inc the PX one. For me NOT a fan at all of that Eagle they gave him, so first thing I did was switch it with the ReAction Eagle (Dredd) and also the shoulder pad too (Anderson).

ReAction and Mezco Meet

Luckily I have several ReAction Dredd's so stripped 3 of them Down for parts. First one Mezco Dredd got the goodies. After embedding magnets into the ReAction Eagle and pad, same results as original with the figure.

Other beauty is multi MKI & MKII Lawgivers now :D

Finally got the Lawmaster finished YAY.  One question though DREDD heads. The top front screen, currently Black, I know in the comics it is lit up but what would you agree is the general colour? RED or Yellow/white?

Anyway the Lawmaster. Managed to have it so the front turned still and the bike cannons have a +/- elevation.

Creative Common / A3 size Backdrop MEGA CITY One
10 June, 2014, 09:14:27 AM
Hey guys.

As I will have seen with my 1/18 Custom Dredd figure & Lawmaster thread I am using a MINTY backdrop I found online.  http://forums.2000adonline.com/index.php/topic,40604.0.html

I was wondering If anyone has a LARGE image of this or if some Kind soul Has a Large comic MC1 cityscape view inc Halls of Justice, that would work for a backdrop for a diorama Once the pieces are all finished.

I am looking at getting the backdrop printed at A3 size.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Creative Common / East Meg One Judge build
03 March, 2014, 12:15:34 PM
Hi all,

Just figured I would share some work in progress shots of my Comic (Apocalypse War) based Sov Judge costume.

My good friend who you guys may have seen did the HONDO Judge has been assisting with input when I needed it.
We felt we wanted to bring an International flavour to the Judges appearing at events.

So to start with.

I made the basic helmet shape using a Plant cover that was re-enforced with an epoxy-resin. Same way as the Hondo Judge Helmet was made by my friend.

Then with a some work ended up with this. (The visor is a welders visor and also added a Soviet Pin).

So that is the helmet completed.

Next the badge.
Alas it was truly difficult to get a perfect image from the comics, so John and moreso Carlos have been Very kind with their time talking about the Sov Judge and Carlos with sharing some large emailed images to use as ref.

I took the image and went to work sketching a mock up. Then started building one in layers of Plastic card.

I opted to actually have the Name in Russian so went with VIKING and translated that.

Finished badge with removable name plate (plan on doing a few others)

Next to a 2012 DREDD badge

Welcome to the board / Hi All
02 March, 2014, 07:33:46 PM
Been a 2000AD fan from the get go. My first Real intro to the world of comic Scifi (did used to read Starlord from time to time) back then when I mainly had Warlord, Commando & Battle comics as my stable.

I dabble with prop making and currently working on finishing off two Judge costumes. One is the 2012 DREDD Hall of Justice & the other is an East Meg One Judge.
