>As for gratuitous bells, its got to be Mike Oldfield.

And that would make Oldfield a gratuitous bell-end, I presume.

"Shouldn?t that be "The ancient and decaying hamlet of Pretson, each arcane wind and turn in its witch-haunted streets suggesting vile secrets of antiquity"?"

You don't really *need* to say that - most people are aware of it. Although if asked, there is an easier arcane eldritch phrase commonly used to describe the place....

This was in Preston, where it never actually gets light...

One of Lovecraft's stories I read while a student (don't recall the title but it was along the Lurker/Watcher/Horror at/in the Dark/Threshold/Tesco's lines) featured a church with some sort of indescribable terror lurking in the belfry.

Wouldn't have been as scary if it wasn't for the fact that the church described in the book was exactly, in every aspect, identical in appearance to the abandoned church I could see out of my then bedroom window.

It's an oddly liberating experience, as is throttling the mate who's doing the cutting for you after he gives you a Phil Oakey cut and takes photos, for a laff.

Wasn't very happy when I told him he'd have to eat the pictures - digital camera, y'see...

They're completely legit. I know, cos I was the one who sorted out the imagery for them. They're preview cards that were designed up for Memorabilia, and are a prelude to a much larger 2000 AD set that ill be launched next year (they're not American though - made over here).

All lovely images, which you will no doubt have seen before, but the one to particularly take note of is the Rico image, as Frazer specially stripped out the other characters from the picture to give a 'clean' image of Rico for the card, so it's a bit different from previous appearances.

Radiant Silvergun on Saturn ROXXOR! Sadly, I lent my copy out to someone and never got it back, and now it's virtually impossible to get a copy for anything like a sensible price (same as Panzer Dragoon Saga).

>who Graves works for

Pizza Hut

>what his minutemen were doing

The general consensus is that it was a kind of half tap-dance, half samba.

>who killed Milo in "The Counterfifth Detective"

The Hooded Claw.

>and why Brian Azzarello is a stone-cold fu**ing genius.

Because he has no hair - the reverse-Samson effect that seems to characterise a lot of great comics writers.

(was going to give you sensible answers, but then I realised I couldn't really remember, and thought ah, what the hell...)

Blech, it's stuck on the river with little thought applied to how it would affect the look of the area, and just looks like a manky old discarded bike wheel, of which the Thames has more than enough of at the best of times.

What else would I have there - line of 30 ft spikes, on which they mount the bodies of all Pop Idol, Fame Academy, Big Brother, etc winners after their 15 minutes are up. Oh yeah, and David Blaine, in his perspex box, permanently...
