Worth noting, in the resurrection of this thread, that it was confirmed the other week that Bizarre Creations, who made the aforementioned Blur, are now being closed down by their US parent company Activision after disappointing sales of their last two games (Blur and the Bond Bloodstone game.)

It's a damn shame.  They were a great UK studio - Geometry Wars, the Project Gotham series, anyone? - and don't seem to have been given much of a chance by their new owners.

Aw that's shit! I REALLY enjoyed Bloodstone, it hads some amazing moments.

Bloodstone had a lot of rough edges, especially in getting the opening titles wrong - a huge part of the Bond brand to the point it's arguably outlasted pretty much every other change in the series - and with any kind of licensed property the cosmetics of the thing have to be close to the source to even qualify it as shovelware.

But it was a technically sound game with some standout moments.  Always a shame to see people losing their jobs.
