Perhaps it was an original illustration? Did GW have any art in their publications?

 I checked last night and the whole thing was all in my head after all, just like the exellent
8 page scene from Robinson Sejbjerg's Starman that I clearly recalled for years before I bought the Annual which featured the 3 panels of actual plot development I was thinking of.

 The moral of this story is life in general, and comics in particular, are much better inside my mind.

 So, new proposal, why doesn't everyone move into my head?

 Or I could invent time travel, go back to the early Eighties and convince McMahon to draw the picture I want!

 Anyone got a spare Flux Capacitor?

 Maybe I should just *shudder* compromise?
