At present I store my Progs and Megs in a standard box file, which is almost full now.

Pondering getting comic bags/boxes and storing them proper, how do other Prog reading Terrans store theirs?

Can anyone recommend where to buy comic bags large enough for 2000ad as I can only seem to find standard comic sized bags.

I buy mine from Comic John on eBay although most comic shops should keep them or be able to order them for you.
I now bag them, thanks to a clever chap on here, 2 to a bag thereby cutting down on the amount of bags I use.
Be warned though, my complete collection takes up 19 2000 AD comic boxes which is basically 8 foot wide by 6 feet tall. Takes up a lot of room. And that doesn't include the annuals, Titan reprints and Case files ect...

I pay roughly between £5 and £7 per box and £5 for 100 bags (postage extra).

Hope that helps.

Bags and boards aside, I've said for years and I'll say it again: I wish magazine boxes came in longs rather than just shorts. It'd be so much convenient.

I bag and board Progs back to back in standard magazine sized bags. I individualLly bag Megs also in magazine sized bags/boards, and individually bag reprint floppies in Golden Age sized bags. I store all of them in standard magazine sized comic boxes.

Same as Mattofthespurs I get my bags and boards from Comic John also, I tend to go for the 100 x bags and boards together for 2000AD's and then the same boxes as linked above.

Not the conventional approach but I bag a month's worth of Progs (with end of years going into the January bag and any other Dec. issues going into the Nov. bag) together then store them in a solid 'open' style solid desktop file folder. Makes it each to grab any particular years worth and they fit nicely one years to the width of the the folder. God knows I'd have no patience to open and close individual bags when looking for something or re-reading. Plus its 11 bags a year rather than 49 odd.
If I'd known it was harmless I would have killed it myself.
