Can you see what it is yet?
Anyone who has already seen some of the process on FB, don't spoil it! I want to see if anyone can guess what my next Super Sculpey project is.

"I am looking for friendship!
Aha! I think you're onto me! ;)
I have a couple more progress pics which I'll post up later.
Can't wait to see them! ;)
Hope a guide will follow later, because I must try this! Love this character! :D
Filling the body out with foil, as I need to save on Super Sculpey. Leaving the feet alone - they need to be solid Sculpey so it has a lower centre of gravity, and better freestanding balance.

I have covered the foil with a thin layer of Sculpey, and started to work on the general shape and build.
Unfortunately it has to pause here for the next fortnight - I ran out of Sculpey, and I'm not going to be around until 9th Aug!!

Do you bake this once you've finished the sculpt?

I will be doing that, yeah. I don't know if you saw my Gronk, but I'll largely be following the same process as here:
https://2000ad.wordpress.com/2015/07/19/make-your-own-gronk/
My super sculpey is turning up on Thursday so maybe I'll have more progress shots by the weekend.
A couple of progress shots!

Careful with that oven temperature. He's heat-sensitive.

Sensitive clay-g.
Hahahaha!!
He's out of the oven and cooling nicely. The odd crack here and there, but a lick of paint will sort that.

Here's a slightly indulgent selfie to give a sense of scale.

Haha, that's fantastic!
That's some quality work, right there!
Cheers
Jim
Thanks Jim!
I have been busy tonight. Completely painted. I've been painting six hours straight. I'm done.
Here he is - from a wire figure to a free standing clay painted Klegg!

Now - what to do with the leftover Super Sculpey...
Stunning, SM, such a great choice of subject too.
This forum is like a special school for advanced Earthlets. Half-expect to find out next that someone has built a life-size Mega-City 1 out of balloons.
Cheers mate!
One last pic.

If you haven't sent these to @westonfront, do so immediately! Bloody fantastic!
Thanks! Will do!
Impressive, but can you do those Claymation figures as well?

In this place, with all the talent (others have) I suspect that would be too straightforward. I'd expect a fully accurate MC1 in scale inside a balloon. In fact I'd assume three variations. 1) Pre-Apoc War, 2) Post Apoc War, 3) Post Day of Choas!
More importanntly stunning work Mr Monkey. The fact that you did it so quickly just amazes me.

Thanks mate - that's down to my impatience, obsessive behaviour, and short attention span. Six hours painting without a break has left me with very stiff shoulders, but I knew if I didn't get it done fast I would have been distracted by something else, and probably never finished it!
Brilliant stuff.
triffic!
More, more!
Wow!! That is one awesome klegg!
Great work! Hope you will keep on doing some! They look great!
So cool. :D
It's marvellous!
Utterly amazing!!
Planet Replicas take note!
Thanks again everyone!
Christ Weston retweeted him, and copied Rob in too, which was really nice.
Here's a couple of pics of Sensitive Klegg at the Judgement in Cardiff exhibition, next to an original page of Chris and Rob's SK story.

Excellent work, Sir!
Thanks Spikes!
Here you are folks - you'll have seen a lot of the pics before, but I've described the process in a lot more detail in this article:
https://2000ad.wordpress.com/2015/08/02/make-your-own-sensitive-klegg/
It is one of those great twoothy stand alone stories [IMHO] so magnificent work shaolin Monkey.

That's just brilliant - Kleggy's a great choice and you've captured him so well!
