Ye all got the new Cam Kennedy Battle collection that is out right now, right?

Thought it was out next week? Has it reached the shelves already?

Arrived for me in my local bookshop in Friday.

Am I really wrong on my Irish history or was Clontarf really Irish verus Vikings  as depicted in Northlanders? I always viewed Clontarf as an Irish civil as Vikings fought on both sides.

Ok, now that my 2000ad collection is complete, I'm gonna attempt a complete Heavy Metal collection (I would love to try Metal Hurlant; but my french just isnt up to it). So guys, advice and tips?? Z

Self Driving Cars - I reckon we've 5-10 years before we start seeing these on the road. Though there's some suggestion that Elon Musks Tesla 3 cars ARE self driving and we'll see these within a year (certainly his previous tesla's had a software option turned on that allowed a certain amount of self driving).

(I only ever buy second hand cars, which means I've only in the past few years had a car with electric windows, so god knows when I'll ever afford one of those - and, it may well be that by the time I do it'll be pointless because...

UBER - destabilising taxi companies everywhere (except in Norn Iron, because our taxi drivers come with their own balaclavas). Uber want to buy self driving cars though, and are pursuing this themselves.

I can see an inflection point coming, where self driving cars have low to zero insurance requirements (either insurance underwritten by the car company as a way to show that these things are safe or insurance companies themselves realising that self driving cars have low costs) in either case, I can then see normal cars having skyrocketing insurance, which will reach an unaffordable point very quickly.

At some point it may well be cheaper to have an Uber self-driving car account than it will be to have any kind of car. (And tbh, I welcome that - I know others like driving, but for me nothing but a pain).

Universal Basic Income - a flat amount of money handed out to everyone. Could be this isn't the solution, but it feels like - at least - an alternative for when the jobs all vanish.

I heard one guy reckon in the USA a million people will lose their jobs as taxi drivers/delivery drivers/truckers as a result of the self-driving vehicles, so if you have a job as a driver it might be in a high-risk area that it'd be hard to program a AI for, like Ice Truckers.

Bette to call them Asian instead of offending them by calling them Vietnamese if they were actually Laotian for example?

Dark Horse are going to release a collection of Italian book Ranxerox this year. I always hear about great this is but it does sound a bit dodgy in some ways...

There's a new English-language version of the Nikopol Trilogy coming on April 12th.  This is a series I've been curious about ever since I saw a few panels on the old documentary "Comics Confidential" years (decades?) ago.

Picked it up when DC/Humanoids released it 10-ish years ago. It's a strange, existentialist slice of comics, so your milage may vary. Bilal's art changes to his modern style through the series as well.

Hold on is that 4th volume of Johnny Red really happening its been yo-yoing in and out for quite some time now?

They are both in the Titan solicitations in the April 2016 Previews so fingers crossed eh?

You name dropper you! Copra looked hard to get print copies of so hopefully Comixology will spread the word. Heard it mentioned by a lot by writers and on best of lists.

Could be misremembering, but I think a lot of early GW games came with cut-out armies and terrain. Certainly the first two Warhammer battles I ever played did. The awesome SJG Car Wars too. Hard to imagine that happening now.

And of course many games since have done likewise.

Heh, they reprinted Car Wars two years, all the counters came punched when I got it! Still have black and white maps.
