'nother vote for Sonic the Comic... It even had pirates! (If I remember correctly). Should really dig out the old issues I have...

I miss Scream and Eagle. I can find nothing, NOTHING, that's any good that gives information on the 1980's Dan Dare episodes.

Oh, and I miss 2000ad in it's hey dey. Every prog was a work of genius from 1983 to 1985.

"Scream.
Just imagine what it'd be like now..."

Considering the Horror film boom thats currently going on, Im surprised no-ones of thought of this till now.
Would it be worth Rebellion's trouble to comission a 'Summer Special'-type one off, featuring horror stuff from the current top droids?
(Dom and Fraser could probably handle the art on their own!)

What do you reckon?
Do we really need a specialist horror comic, or is there enough in 2000ad?

How come there hasn't been a rival to 2000ad for a while now?  There's a market for it, if the amount of comics being sold (2000ad, three or four Spidey comics, ditto X-men, Batman and that thing with Daredevil) is anything to go by.  Distribution is the problem, I suppose?

Byron Virgo

"that thing with Daredevil"

Mighty World of Marvel.

And yes, distribution is a problem, as supermarkets and chain newsagents require all sorts of grossly unfair subsidies and 'get out of gaol free cards', whilst local newsagents are often in such a tennuous financial state that they won't risk anything new and unproven.

The UK Zoids comic is the one I miss the most.

Just remembered!
Also used to get 'DC Action', a nice glossy UK reprint mag, which featured IIRC Animal Man (yay!), Swamp Thing (ok), and the New Teen Titans (bobbare!).

They had some great Bolland covers too...http://www.illiteraterainbow.com/colours/fun/Animal_Man-Coyote_Gospel-l.jpg">

Used to have a full collection of the Marvel RoboCop comics too. Alas, they died in an over-damp cellar!

Sorely missed....(sniff)
