Help! / Re: Framing Original Art

well, i bit the bullet and took them to be framed on saturday.  a nice black border with a brushed graphite coloured aluminium frame.  went for standard glass though as the UV stuff added another ?80 to the price (4 frames) and they are never in direct sunlight anyway.....

i pick them up this weekend

thanks for the advice guys

thanks for the advice guys.  if it works for you then i'm sure it'll be fine.

now, i just have to spend all day in my bedroom to ensure no direct sunlight hits the walls!  ;o)

Help! / Framing Original Art
28 January, 2005, 03:50:45 PM
hi guys,

long time no speak...

ages and ages ago i got some great gibson art of sam slade in day of the droids and have now got around to thinking about displaying it in frames on my bedroom wall.

any advice on how to do this as i'm worried about the sunlight fading the artwork over time and have considered getting a copy of the artwork framed and archiving the original....any ideas or comments?

cheers

Stodge

i've played it and just last sunday completed it and i would have to recommend it fully.  very enjoyable game with only minor whines to go along with it.  definitely worth a go in my humble opinion.

i have their first DVD and it's incredibly funny with loads of extras on it...was even considering the t-shirt but felt that may be going to far and coul be considered a fashion crime.

i've just bought myself a gamecube and several games (i'll get DvsD obviously if it ever comes out).  my girlfriends was pencilled in to buy this as a present but opted not to as she thought it would cause arguments in the house over me sitting there gawping at the tv all day....the only thing for it was to buy it myself then....

she wanted to know how i could afford it so the best i could come up with was saying i bought it with the change from her really cheapo christmas present...oh what fun we have in store...la la la la....i may not be around much afte rxmas by the look of things :o(

oh well, i can't see me doing that well this time round but that's the luck of the draw i guess.

alan moore...hmm, not much hope of that no is there really apart from reprints i guess...chris weston isn't the most prolific artist either although he did do a recent meg sub (whatever happened to tweak).  it looks like it's all on demon jenny (IIRC that's the bird in cabs isn't it?).

some strong contenders this year again already from the look of things and despite the fact i have no chance it will still be interesting to see the war progress.

busted!

i quickly realised that so thought i'd go for the selfless act of comradeship in an attempt to curry favour....that obviously didn't work did it!

oh well...i hope to do better this coming year.

well done oddlad,

even though we shared the lead for June 2003 i am prepared to step back and allow you the glory since i have everything i would want from the prize list anyway and i also feel a little guilty over being a lurker and not contributing to the online community as much as i would have liked to lately (for shame!).

i'll rear my lurking head to be added to next years competition as this years has been strangely addictive and has been responsible for me deserting my very busy job (the reason i have to lurk now) to pop in and check up on things....

stodge (hopes to leave lurker mode some time in the new year)

odders, try and be kind to a fellow member of the 534 club ;o)....not that i'm implying that you will cheat of course.
