I think maybe some classic front covers would be amazing.

And on one of them they could replace the Kings Head with Dreads head  :P

I remember those, but I'd love to see a whole collection dedicated to 2000AS Characters

Quote from: norton canes on 08 April, 2024, 10:45:33 AMFantastic idea!

Googled, out of curiosity, and there was a 2000 AD stamp made in 2012 as part of a British comics series:

I have a suggestion I think you will like.

By my calculations 2000AD will be 50 years old in March 2027.

I have just googled online how to request what goes on a UK stamp and they have previously had comic characters from the likes of Benno, and I thought it would be the perfect time to make a request with the post office to do a series of stamps with characters from 2000AD to celebrate your 50th birthday. I think the post office would support that idea but have found out it can take a maximum of 5 years to go through the whole process, it doesn't usually take that long, so if we started the process now we might be able to get it done by 2027.

Is this something that Rebellion and the readers would like to get behind? I don't mind looking into it further to get the ball rolling.

Suggestions / Re: Upgrading subscriptions
19 July, 2023, 02:10:35 PM
Thanks for that, but we pay a reduced price for subscriptions and if I did it via Forbidden Planet, I'd be paying full price for the prog plus postage, so hopefully Tharg will come up with an answer  :)

Suggestions / Upgrading subscriptions
19 July, 2023, 07:14:00 AM
Hi there

I bit the bullet about two years ago and became a subscriber, mainly because I could only find 2000AD in Forbidden Planet. At that time I'd fallen out of love with American comics and instead of weekly visits to FP, months could go by before I'd visit and I'd have to buy 8 or nine copies of 2000AD, but only if they had them in stock.

The reason I am writing is, I can't fault the reliability of your subscription service but the flimsy plastic they they are packaged in doesn't really protect my prized prog. It quiet often arrives with a bend in the cover or a small rip. My 2000AD collection is my prized possession and I keep them safe in acid free bags but I find that when they arrive damaged I'm having to rebuy them, which is frustrating and defeating the object.

As this is the suggestion column, my suggestion is to have an up-graded subscription service, one which you would obviously have to pay a premium for but would allow you to use protective card either side of the prog and DO NOT BEND in large capital letters on both sides of the package.

I'm afraid my subscription is about to end and I won't be renewing it. I'll now have to continue with my monthly trips to FP, where I can hand pick each prog.

I would be grateful if you could let me know if my suggestion is a possibility in the near future, I'm sure it would be popular with many of your readers.

Many thanks.

And this speculative bollocks keeps the dream alive. I'd love to hear something from Rebellion, don't they owe it to the fans for a little update now and again? I keep scouring the internet for some news and I just find old news from between 2017 - 2020 and the occasional comment from Karl Urban saying he'd love to revive Dredd.

Come on Rebellion get your finger out and give us what we want, a 2000AD franchise with Rogue Trooper, Button Man, Nikolai Dante and Dredd on all the streaming services. I just want to live long enough to see that franchise knock Marvel off the top spot.

We can dream a little dream of Dredd on the big screen..... Can't we though?

And why have I never seen this? Is it a prelude to the release of an animated Dredd series or a tribute to Carlos Ezquerra?

It looks truly amazing.

Film Discussion / Dredd 2 moving forward
25 November, 2022, 07:16:03 PM
[This and a few other messages have been merged from another thread — IP]

Hi Everyone

It's been a while since I've posted on here. I'm just wondering if any of you have heard an update regarding Dredd 2 happening. I've just read a recent news report on the Giant Freaking Robot website, which appears to be recent, saying that their trusted sources have reported that Dredd 2 is "moving forward" and that Karl Urban is involved. I'm not sure if they are rehashing old stories or if this is new information. To be clear they are not talking about the TV series but a Dredd 2 movie. I've included a link to this story. Does anyone else have any other information?
