Film & TV / Preacher (TV Series)...

Ob the side of loved it. Accents do not bother me as nobody is trying to do a Salford one (notice that Texans are a bit irritated as are some Irish folk) and I am especially living Cassidy so far... and will pretend that Joseph is Cassidy next time I watch Pride.

I liked the comic but it was sensible to change it around a bit.

Looking forward to this. Have had it on preorder for a couple of weeks :)

i found the Simping Detective section just as much hard work as ever in this volume.  Something about the way Jack's monologues read with the Mega City speak... all that drokkbot stuff, just makes it hard work to read, but worth it when it makes sense.  The Demarco section I liked better, and I really could not be bothered with that first time round.

As an intro, Daily Dredds is perfect if expensive. Id say probably get the Case Files with The Graveyard Shift in, because thats perfect as an intro.

I would like to see the CF volumes that are in black and white printed at the same quality as thee later colour files. It would make the black and white stuff look nicer, would make the volumes thinner, and would allow the colour centre folds and covers to be printed in colour. I know it would cost a few pounds more but I genuinely would buy them again if they did this.

I would also definitely re-buy those first 11 volumes.

Wait - Bish-op gets no royalties for the Kindle editions of novels he's written?  That just strikes me as wrong on every level - call me old fashioned but if I buy a book I want the guy who wrote it to earn some money from th sale!!  That said, I am going to need to get those Virgin Dredds on Kindle - just dug my paperbacks out but don't want to wreck them by reading them again... Bishop's Dredd novels in particular were always great fun.

I loved the original Fiends -  can't actually remember much about the later series, but it's vampires in a war comic drawn by Carlos - nothing there not to like!

I thought all five stories were great - American Reaper looked great on the laptop screen (pleasingly for a digital reader there were no double page spreads which are a bit of a pain as they are never joined when you buy the progs / megs - not hard on a computer but a bit of a bugger on a tablet) and I like the story!  The Cop was the highlight, and Dead Zone, Demarco and the text story were all decent reads too.

The floppy... never liked Plagues of Necropolis in its day, but all togethe it read OK if a bit overly grim!  Backing it up with a fun Judge Death story levelled it out a bit, good idea to add that in!

I might have accidentally subscribed.  I couldn't not.

It's nice to see the rich standing up for themselves and rebelling against the man, though, by producing movies and being shit at putting eyeliner on.

I love Twin Peaks so this is super exciting.  With David Lynch directing it will hopefully much better than the dodgy bits of Season 2 - even if I secretly like quite a lot of Season 2.

I did buy Prog 1 when it came out, as I had been looking forward to 2000AD since I saw an ad for this forthcoming new comic in another comic I bought (can't remember which) and sci-fi was beginning to be an interest.  Anyway, they got thrown out eventually and I have never replaced it - but I do still have my Space Spinner (minor dog tooth imprints on it, somehow, but the original one I got with my Prog 1!) :)

If Dredd would refuse Stookie, then maybe Tek Division have figured out how to synthesize it by now.

I never lived there as in, had a rent book (not that anyone bothered collecting rent there anyway) but I did wind up staying there a lot in the late 80's as a lot of the flats by then were just empty, and most of my friends lived there. Miss that place!
