Ok, it's Polaroid Eyewear and they come in a few different models. Here's a sample, there are a couple more:

Apparently it's supposed to be "passive" 3D for the cinemas. So I guess the ones Michaelvk posted should work.

I guess something reminiscent of the visor (apart from just the colours) would be cooler, but the triangual slits would obscure the view of the screen.    Unless you made the front of the glasses huge, to the diagonal bits are to the side of your head... but then the glasses would look even more silly.

They could have added a little respirator bit to the top though...

There is also the cost of re-tooling to produced custom moulds vs a different colour and printing.

Obviously huge franchises like the Hobbit have the marketing budget to do their own custom moulds but Dredd doesn't.
