I've be getting into the history of comics and the men and women who worked on them I've got copies of Thrill-Power Overload and Marvel the untold tale. My question to the Mighty Brain Trust what over books should I be reading.

You should look at:
Men Of Tomorrow: Geeks, Gangsters and the Birth of the Comic Book by Gerard Jones.

Out of Print now but you might also try:
Comix: The History of Comic Books in America by Les Daniels
A Haunt of Fears: The Strange History of the British Horror Comics Campaign by Martin Barker
The Steranko History of Comics - Volumes One & Two by Jim Sternako

The late Denis Gifford also wrote a lot of books about comics although his particular niches never really appealed to me.
'Life isn't divided into genres. It's a horrifying, romantic, tragic, comical, science-fiction cowboy detective novel ... with a bit of pornography if you're lucky.' - Alan Moore

I really enjoyed Gerard Jones' Men of Tomorrow about the birth of the US industry as we know it

Also read a few good biographies of folk if that takes your interest

Will Eisner http://www.amazon.co.uk/Will-Eisner-Spirited-Dark-Horse/dp/1595820116/ref=tmm_pap_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=&sr=

Stan Lee http://www.amazon.co.uk/Excelsior-The-Amazing-Life-Stan/dp/0684873052

and of course GMozz's Supergods http://www.amazon.co.uk/Supergods-Our-World-Age-Superhero/dp/022408996X/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1449154236&sr=1-1&keywords=super+gods

I've never found the truly balanced appraisal of Jack Kirby's life I've always wanted.

I also found that Paul Gravett's '1001 Comics to read before you die' introduced to a lot of comics hhistiry that I'd never come across.

Finally something a little different is Ian Shirley's 'Can Rock and Roll Save the World' which looks a the history and relationship between comics and pop music. Really interesting read. http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/0946719802?keywords=history%20of%20comics&qid=1449153578&ref_=sr_1_54&sr=8-54
