thanks, guys. this community can clearly often be really genuinely kind. and in an age where kindness is increasingly such a rarity, i'm very grateful.
thank you.

thank you both.
nothing really matters, not in the end, except love.
we are all so very fragile.
hold those you love so very close. today. not tomorrow. let them know.

my father died today, too young, out of nowhere.
he was a brilliant and beautiful man. he died too young. he was my rock. he was my best friend. he was my carer (i am moderately disabled). he was made of love.
everything, everything, everything, sucks.

dmitry medvedev tweeting gleefully about the daily star truss iceberg lettuce today ... is conclusive proof that chris morris has been programming this particular simulation of ours for a while now.

braverman's resignation letter is basically attacking truss for not being xenophobic enough ...
honestly, tories, if the thick of it (which i adore) were to be aired for the first time now it would fail on account of its unrealistic calmness and sobriety compared with the real thing.

Guardian review:

"Now it’s over, let’s come out and say it: The Rings of Power was a stinker. The world’s most expensive show – which looked like an episode of Hollyoaks, only with woeful acting – was so inept that every episode left you sniggering."

hmmm ...
i sort of agree. i just don't see what this glossy and often beautiful-looking production - albeit one that was also often clumsily performed and clunkily written - had to offer anyone coming to the party for the first time.
i liked it, just about and all in all. but a billion bucks needs more than the likes of nerdy me to kind of like something.

i love miriam margolyes. i'm glad the showrunner got such a fine actor in for the otherwise dark and depressing and pointless season 44 of tory downing drowning street. all the other characters are such clichéd and unbelievable and uniteresting villains.

as things stand, it still looks as if jeremy anatomicalwordbeyondthepale will be making the disabled pay for more fortunate people's tax cuts.

there has never been any transcendence in this particular soap (tho they did tease us in 2017).
