Devlin Waugh. I haven't read it for years (infrequent Meg reader now) but I hate Zombo. I'm in the minority that don't find it at all funny, and struggle to get through each episode, with the side effect that I never have a clue what's going on.

I couldn't remember if I'd voted yet. Apparently not, so it's going to Dante for the quality of the story telling and characterisation.

Strontium Dog. Lawless is great, obviously, but it's one long continuous narrative, so I'm less likely to pick it up and just read a few episodes than I am with Stront, which is endlessly rereadable (well, anything after Journey Into Hell, anyway) in whatever order.

Mind you, I will deploying the same argument in reverse when I vote for Dante in the next semi, so what do I know.

Brink. Maybe because I love it weekly in the prog, but only get Lawless in the collections, excellent though it is. I've reread my brink collections but feel less of an urge to do so for lawless.

Strontium Dog. There's just so much of it of top quality that a 3 series thrill is never going to beat it. The only thing that can take it down is a high quality thrill that has run for many years.

I thought the Future Shock was going to deliver an interesting message about economics. Surely people would have started offering goods and services at astronomically high rates, people would start spending their money, and after a period of hyperinflation the currency would be devalued and everything would be back to normal, though with the previous wealth having been redistributed.

You had a great run Kano, and book 1 is better than at least half of Stront, but the other half of Stront gets it.
