Welcome to the first knockout round where we will choose our favorite story arc.

It will work quite simple: I will make a statement and you can than either acknowledge that my choice is the right choice, or you can rebuke it. But with a rebuke you will have to state the alternative.

The statement will be something like the best story arc for the XYZ series is ABC. You can then rebuke it by stating no it is QWERTY

At the end we will have about 16 story arcs from different series whom we engage in Mortal Kombat to determine the top 3 story arc.

We already have two story arcs that has qualified:
Strontium Dog – The Killing
Judge Dredd – Apocalypse War (including Block Mania)

So, let’s get this show on the road: The finest and greatest Slaine story ever told is The Horned God
-   Yay, you are spot on
-   Nay, surely you are mistaken it must be ……………………………

General / Sideshow Vote II: Eeny, meeny, miny, moe

Choosing one out of 2283 (@ print) possibilities is always a daunting task. This one of those votes that might be more of an opinion than a vote. Let’s ask the question what is your best/favorite prog?
Maybe something like prog 335:
-   Dredd The Graveyard Shift Part 1
-   Nemesis Book 3 Part 1
-   Rogue From Hell to Eternity Part 1
-   Slaine Warriors Dawn Part 1
-   Strontium Dog The Moses Incident Part 1

So yes, this is a very open-ended vote here. You have 2283 plus choices here.

Sometimes these votes feel unfair but then again it makes it more interesting to have heavy weight fight it out while the lesser thrills go trough to the next round

I thought Feral and Foe was much more popular and we will even get a third series.

It also looks like the year will start fizzling out by September and hopefully prog 2300 will boost the thrill-power.

Again on the meg side another floppy that contains a series that is not yet older than 2 years: Feral & Foe. I am little disappointed in the overrings after the Hawkness

Coming to the meg in August:

More action and adventure in the future-shocked world of Judge Dredd! Lawless: "Ballots Over Badrock" wraps up with things looking desperate for Metta Lawson; Anderson, Psi-Division enters a new era in "Dissolution"; and there's a complete Judge Dredd thriller in the "Little Shop of Terrors." Plus there's the usual interviews, features, and in the bagged GN this month the first series of Dan Abnett and Richard Elson's irreverent fantasy saga Feral & Foe!

Coming to the prog in August:

Incredible SF action from the Eisner-nominated UK anthology! In Progs 2293-2295, Judge Dredd battles Brit-Cit forces in "Special Relationship"; Atalia Jaegir gets jungle fever in "Ferox"; Brink: "Mercury Retrograde" reaches its terrifying finale; Dexter goes against the gangs in "Malice in Plunderland"; and Nolan Blake's mission is nearing its endgame in Skip Tracer: "Valhalla"! In Prog 2296, it's the third all-ages takeover of 2022 as 2000 AD Regened returns with more new characters and old favourites, including Cadet Dredd!

Another set off linework by tom Foster for the current Dredd:

Zenith has you stated Magnetica came at the right time in the prog. I do not mind "superheroes" but I do find it to be too generic and mostly becoming boring whereas Zenith was quite refreshing even compared to todays "superhero" stories. I still believe that this is Morrison's best work ever.

I blame Ukko for this frolicking with the gods outside his universe :(

Colin the problem is that somehow somebody reverted the votes from the alternative reality where all answers are Zenith although they voted for Button Man. So you have to reverse count them Zenith=Button Man and button Man=Button Man
