The original Rogue Trooper certainly forum-wised got some real mix feelings but does not matter where you sit on the fence it is one of the classic 2000AD characters. In many cases we do have a series or story that just drags on for too long and can become stale. After Traitor General should Rogue continued or not?
-   Yes, I loved every bit of it (even the Hit series).
-   Yes, but GFD should have continued on scripting duties (we would have been saved from the Hit series)
-   The Traitor General series was a good point to stop the series
-   Maybe after the Horst series they could have stopped Rogue
-   Never liked the series to begin with

With more than 40 years of reading material available it is daunting task to know where to start reading Dredd. The main “problem” with Dredd is the fact that he never had a reboot which can be marked as a new begging to start from.

If you can recommend to your new friends where to start reading Dredd what will you answer be:
-   Well easy take the latest prog and start reading from there and the rest will come with time
-   Wait for a jump-on prog and start from there
-   Way wait pick-up the nearest jump-on point and read from there
-   No pick-up the Judge Dredd Cases file number one and start from the begging – you will have years of entertainment
-   There is a new Essential Collection out pick that up and start from there
-   What about the new best of 2000AD
-   Pick-up the classic epics like Apocalypse War, Judge Child, The Curses Earth, Day of Chaos, Necropolis but remember to skip the City of the Damned

We all were there at one stage when we complain about a strip or the state of the prog. Sometimes we continue to infinity and beyond complain about the same subject repeatedly.
What is the most annoying thing to hear constantly complains about?
-   Sin/Dex must end
-   Skip Tracer sucks
-   Let’s kill off Dredd
-   Rogue Trooper is to meh for me
-   The Order is incoherent and does not make sense
-   The prog is not as good as the 80s
-   You know I just scan trough the prog and since I am not reading it must be bad
-   Anderson looks like a 20-year-old babe
-   Why do I have to pay for the regen when I have a sub
-   Why do the schedule get broken down by the regen prog
-   Hah, I will throw a hissy fit whenever I want
-   Complain Department. About which complain do you want to complain?

General / Sideshow Vote II: I should have made it in America
« on: 18 July, 2022, 03:51:17 AM »
One of the most popular British comics characters is Dredd. Dredd is an American but for some reason the Americas just do not either like or get the character. Why is this the case:
-   Wrong writers to portray the character. Try a British writer like Al Ewing to do the character until it can be established.
-   Well, the Americans are in love with their superheroes. It is almost like the only material that sells in the States.
-   Well, the Americans does do not get the satire behind the world of Dredd.
-   Wrong publisher who does not understand the character at all.
-   All off the above
-   Well, I believe they love Dredd
-   Something else like…………..
