This was always been my main problem with Sin/Dex the small chunks of stories. Just as the story starts to get into its stride it stops. But as you say it can also be due to the current worldwide issues

This has been a really tough one as both men are superb world builders able to craft great characters and thrilling narratives. It's really come down to the slimmest of margins. Much as I love Edginton's work I've got to give my vote to Abnett. Lawless and Brink are the two stories that made a subscription to Tharg's mighty organs a must-buy for me. If we'd had another series or two of Thistlebone this could have gone the other way though it really is very close.

Ian Edginton did not write Thislebone it was TC Eglington

After the second week it looks like the majority of people has already cast their votes.

We have a total of 58 different thrills receiving votes so far.

Upfront we still have the same two thrills slogging it out but this time around the positions have swapped. But an old dog is starting to make his move towards the top.

We have two big shakers and movers the one is an instrument of vengeance the other the biggest ship ever built.

Dan Abnett

This round is quite difficult for me since I have two of my favorite writers against each other. Both of these writers have some great stuff and both will be worthy winners but we can only choose one.

General / Top 10 tourneys - what is next
20 June, 2020, 02:44:54 PM
I will wrapping up the "The Rebellion Years Top 10 Series - Tournament" by the 30th of June. I will kick-off the "The Rebellion Years Top 10 Meg Series - Tournament" on the weekend of the 4th of July. The meg tourney will run for only 2 weeks I want to warp it up by the 19th of July.

I am planning on doing a "Galaxy's Greatest Top 10" next. The timing of this depends also when and what Colin wants to do next. I do not mind running this directly after the Meg one.

I just need some input regarding the different tourneys:

On the Meg tourney
1.    I will again exclude Judge Dredd as an option but not the Dredd movie-based series. I see this more as an alternative take on Dredd and not part of the Dredd-verse canon.
2.   I will split Anderson between the Dredd-verse canon and the Dredd movie-based canon.
3.   Additional exclusion will be any reprint material and that includes the floppies.

On the Galaxy tourney
1.   I will split Rogue Trooper in two voting options, Classic Rogue and Friday.
2.   I will also split Strontium Dog into Alpha and Feral as two options.
3.   The only exclusion will be again Judge Dredd

A highly enjoyable prog so thank you Tharg !!!

Dredd – The team has been selected the first level boss has been identified. The set up has been done and now the real story can start. I always liked Rob Williams take on Dredd and cannot wait for the rest of the apocalyptic tale to unfold. Great stuff.

Sin/Dex – The talking heads has been replaced by a full out action-fest. The real disappointment for me rather is the fact just as the story starts, we must wait a few weeks again for the rest.

Full Tilt Boogie – We are only in the second episode and I am already fully invested in the story.  Ocana's art suits the story.

The Order – The story has not gone complete weird on us yet so in that sense I am little bit disappointed, but it is giving us the initial set up for the main story. Enjoying this as always. Bring on the wacky-molly rollercoaster ride Kek-W.

Diaboliks – Now that the team has been selected the target has been identified, wait did Rennie and Williams share notes......?  So far so good, good start to the new Caballistics spin-off.

Looks promising some interesting new stories starting. You can not go wrong with a Wagner/MacNeil Dredd

I enjoyed the Meg.

My main problem with Vigilant except the many characters is that the story goes back to 2018 and it feels like the time between is way to long. This will read better as a collection which I know will be release next year. All in all I enjoyed Vigilant and it is always a bonus to have the fantastic art of Coleby.
