i have got it from the start (before i could read lol) but took a break in the 90s sarted again in the late 90s or 2000s

Sigh, this is the problem these days see!  Totally unoriginal origin stories that don't grip the audience.

I mean couldn't he have gone with "born in the desperate wastelands of the Black Country and raised by a roving band of Classic British Comic Fans he was kidnapped by American Comic Speculators and forced into a life of drudgery and servitude to the false gods Liefield and McFarland.  Finally he broke freee of his captivity after burrowing through the dark tunnels of WH Smiths and joined with a dedicated band in the Rebellion!"

No .... used to read ... 90's yadda, yadda, yadda, ... giving it another punt ...  Even Millar did a better job than that (okay, not Robo-Hunter Millar ...)

It was me. I spent that decade pretty out of it so didn't really notice.  :-\
