"I swear, I cannot get that book anywhere. Dundee doesn't have it, London doesn't have it, Vancouver doesn't have it. wtf."
Oi! Knock cesspools like Dundee and Vancouver all you like, but I can name you at least four places off the top of my head that had the book as of yesterday!
"Oh - and those knobs in the FP in London didn't keep the back issues of Gutsville, so there was no point in buying part 4 (or was it 3?) on it's own. "We don't keep back issues over n weeks because that would involve making a smart decision based on circumstance rather than just blindly following The Word as handed down from on high"."
Forbidden Planet in London stopped doing back issues after they moved to Shaftesbury Avenue. Since they make most of their money through 'merchandise' (you know, like those weird figurines people collect, sort of like the plaster ballerinas they used to advertise on the back of you nan's Woman's Realm), it didn't make sense to flog a dead horse, what with the back issue market having been decimated through ebay and whatnot. I'm surprised they still sell comics at all, to be honest. If you want back issues, you should have tried somewhere nearby like Orbital just round the corner..
"We have flying rats in the real world as well
- they're called pigeons!"
Not flying rocks though - for shame!
