The cursed earth Map would be interesting indeed. Basically everything out side the Mega Cities got scragged in a big way. There would be lots of present day cities, towns, roads etc nuked out and ruined. Primary and secondary vegetation would have initially been denuded (nuclear winter), but after 80 odd years would be making a comeback as there would be few people to disturb the regrowth spread; a lot of the cursed earth would however still (at best) resemble 1930s dust bowl panhandle Texas and Oklahoma and at worst the Mojave Desert.
I'd hazard a population of maybe 20 odd million spread out very thinly, but clustered away from nuclear weapons strike zones, ie away from the old urban areas.
So in other words the worst dump you can imagine, squared with high radiation levels. Z

The question is: is it the gritty Wild West of Helltrekkers, or the (admittedly brilliant) carnival sideshow of The Cursed Earth?
