Well if we're on about Cinbooks, Antares vol.6 is out in January (well...it's getting a forward release at Thought Bubble but still...).

According to Amazon it's out the 5th of November 2015 (and Kenya Vol.5 is out on Oct. 8th)

I'd like to see a story about how all that psi power came about between now and dredd's time.

You'd think it was some kind of mutation caused by the Atomic War - except that the likes of Ecks and Shenker were alive before that happened. Psychic powers probably originally derived from the aliens in the Anderson story 'Childhood's End', and just took a long time to fully emerge in humanity.

One of the 2057 flashback scenes in Origins mentions the founding of PSI-Division long before the Atomic War, maybe earlier atomic explosions and accidents kick-started the process and the Atomic War sped the process up.

Pretty good books, but not 100% definitive as they did imo skip over several fairly crucial stories, including (IIRC) Bad Frendz (first appearance of Vitus Dance and the Mega City Frendz/Nero Narcos), Worst of Frendz, Gun Play, The Contract and The Cal Legacy. There were also several follow-up stories (Incident at Rowdy Yates, Lobsang Rampage, Short Circuit etc etc), though I wouldn't consider them essential to the main plot.

"The Pit" is in Volume 40 so perhaps Vol.41 will include all of the other Frendz/Edgars stories, or at least the most relevant ones.

Way ahead of you.  In fact I've done two, one simply lists the volumes and when I bought them the other is the more detailed one attached.

Sucks for a title to end mid-story. With the popularity of binge watching and box sets, you would think some writers and artists would experiment with the book industry/Netflix model of delivering a story when it's complete, rather than in instalments.
Stepan Sejic tried that with his fantasy series Ravine.  It ended... badly.  The first book sold well enough but (by his own admission) he made some mistakes and the second book flopped big time.  He's now releasing it free on Deviant Art and if he can subsequent books will be published in a similar manner to his far more popular (and successful) Sunstone series.

That said there does appear to be a market for European-style albums, at least in the UK - Grandville and Drowntown are two examples.  I believe a Mr Rennie of this parish recently produced a work about a certain Scottish poet which sold well.

You can still order from Disposable Heroes as well, I went for the Robertson cover because I'm a sucker for redheads.  Looking forward to this one.

I'll just leave this here (taken in 83 or 84 as I recall)

Why do you hacks think we'll support your works.  You think that just because you produce a well written, beautifully illustrated comic with characters we come to respect and love that we'll just throw money at you.

Joking aside, well done to all concerned I'll be ordering this as soon as it becomes available.

It started doing that about two weeks ago.  The trouble is the autoplay switches itself back on at random.

That's a shame, I've been enjoying the series.  Hope someone else picks it up soon.

I think its a pair of five book cycles, Kenya and Namibia.  There's not many English sources on the net, Cinebooks only covers the volumes they've translated.

My girlfriend threatened to leave me today over my obsession with the Monkees.   I thought she was joking...

...And then I saw her face.

The JFK one is interesting. It just blows the mind that one single nutter with a gun could alter history in such a way. The cannot accept it so construct a comforting narrative that tells them someone somewhere is in control.

Nope. Just a nutter with a gun.

Poor choice of words or dark humour?

Why not invent a kind of box with a one-way slot/flap in it through which large parcels can be inserted, kind of like those night-deposit safes you sometimes see outside banks and post offices? The flap closes and dispenses one numbered/dated Deposit Receipt for Captain Yodel. You could call them Parcel Guardians and sell the idea to somebody for something in order to retire and go and live on an island somewhere.
.

Amazon (and I think E-bay) use something similar on some campuses in America.  A series of lockers with digital combination locks.  The delivery guy puts the customers order in and locks it with a general locking code and the locker generates a unique opening code which is texted/e-mailed to the customer who has seven days to collect their package.

We were going to get something similar in Argos for e-bay customers but they decided to use a different system (stuffs kept behind the counter) when they realised that some of our branches tend to be thief magnets.  It's working though, we get twenty plus e-bay collections every day in our branch.
