General / This is WRONG

I've bitten my tongue about this for long enough but I think this is wrong

CF I get that you're pissed but to publicly denounce someone on a public forum is out of order and I'm surprised that the Moderators have let it stand; it is a personal attack using someone's real name after all.

I don't care what you do privately but you DON'T express your personal animosity towards another on a public forum.

I just looked on Amazon and the paperback trade of 'Leviathan' has been put back until April of 2011 - does anyone have any idea why?

Dear Sweet board lurkers I have a confession - I feel very bad about starting a thread which incited so much ire and general rantage

I feel there should be balance in this cruel, uncaring world. Tell me mon petit filous, what/who/where do you truely, whole-heartedly love?

We've all done something amazing. Did you once sell a sausage roll to Kylie Minogue? Ever tell Simon Cowell to get knotted in front of a busy bus queue? Were you third-bloke-on-the-left in the latest Angelina Jolie blockbuster? Share with us dear hive mind - you know you want to...

Film & TV / Dead Man's Shoes
28 November, 2009, 10:06:32 PM
I've just been watching the film 'Dead Man's Shoes' (starring Paddy Considine and directed by Shane Meadows), somebody told me that it was based on a graphic novel but when I looked on IMDB I couldn't see any evidence - does anyone know if this is true? The film's excellent by the way

Off Topic / I don't understand the appeal of...
28 October, 2009, 01:04:45 PM
This has been bothering me for weeks Hivemind - when did it become acceptable to wear tights instead of trousers or a skirt? I've seen enough chunky-thighed teenage girls prancing about on public transport (whilst complaining about being cold) to last me a lifetime - I've even had to stop myself uttering 'she'll catch her death', for the love of cod, make it stop! (on a more serious note, if any of them were ever assaulted a defence lawyer would have a field day with how they were dressed - sad, very definately wrong but also true)

I also don't see the appeal of the X Factor, Cheryl 'shiny-haired racist' Cole, Katie Price or Macdonalds

I'm obeying standard etiquette and announcing myself as a newby - be gentle with me!
