Whereas in this there are 2 pages of ads.

Jim_Campbell

So I'm presuming there are 32 internal pages, plus 4 for the cover wraparound?

Cheers

I mostly quoted my preview to show there weren't more than 30 pages of story per issue.

Page count breaks down as -
Story - 30
Ads -2 1 for digital comics principally the 2000AD iOs Ap & 1 for Dredd Files which shows lovely matching up spines (both come at breaks in pace)
Cover 0 (or 4 making it 36 pages)

Cover break down:
1 - front cover with 2000AD badge ident + Text Title in cog shape with credits
2 - inside front cover with extended credits &* copyright etc
3 - inside back cover with trailer for issue 2

Paper stock is superier, the cover card

The finish is excellent and really holds the colours perfect - episode titles & next prog comments are gone (obviously).

Go buy a paper copy everyone! Oh, mostly sold out...

Ok... no idea how the 4th page of cover breakdown got out of order... Thrillsuckers probably.

Bit behind the curve on Issue 1 but I gave it some words for Down the Tubes there in my new 100% inoffensive 2000ad round-up thing - http://downthetubes.net/?p=15718

It's a beautiful volume - and I see from this thread there De Ville presumably gets a credit on the inner cover as the pdf I got was just cover n story. Works beautifully and as a tentative first step for Rebellion into American-format mini-series it's a bold statement - I really love Brass Sun and this really could hold its own against a lot of titles in the stores there I reckon. Lovely lovely lovely.

Good work with the column, Owen. Will that be a regular gig?

...really? I suppose that is the way some write it but I've literally never thought it was a thing - look how many times I write it like that on the article there... I've just always wrote it that way... and the FB page for the art competition :S Sheesh. Although to be fair ECTB2000ad and the Future Shock film both format it that way... hmmmmm seems it can be either or but you've blown my mind there...

Some also capitalize the AD but don't put a space in - blimey it's a minefield I never knew I was in!

Also - Sauchie cheers yes it's going to be fortnightly if all goes to plan - small press reviews one week, the round-up on the other!

Official Tharg the Pedantic judgement: '2000 AD'

;)

CrazyFoxMachine

Noted and altered accordingly!  Although the FB page for the art comp can't be changed  :-[

Brass Sun #2 should be out tomorrow (25th), but as yet is unavailable even for pre-order. Is it on schedule?

It's been available for pre-order on the shop for well over two weeks now http://shop.2000adonline.com/products/brass_sun_2

Cheers, I hadn't found that. Looked through the 'comics' part of the shop, but it wasn't coming up.

However, I'm loathe to pay £2 postage on a £3 comic! After being spoiled by online shops offering "free" postage- which may obviously be included in the cover price- it just seems excessive. I'll wait to see if the usual outlets get it in. But thanks, anyway.

I always use the spelling 2000AD... it scans better than 2000 AD even though I know it is wrong...

I know, I'm a rebel.

Finally got around to reading issue 1 (and 2 as it goes) and it reminds me just how glorious Brass Sun is. Have to say it reads even better in one (or two). The presentation is beautiful and even with the squished up pages it looks just beautiful. Oh and so much for ya money too.

If this isn't a hit in the US the comic Gods need to wipe out the entire nation in retribution.
