Need help...

On a flight from Cardiff to Edinburgh I was looking out of the window and spotted an estate where the layout had been set to look like the Millennium Falcon - roads, buildings, etc...but my phone was off and I didn't get chance to snap a picture.

Pretty sure we were still in Wales as we'd not been flying that long.

Looked on MAPS but can't spot it.

Anyone know about this or heard anything about it??  Want to show the boy.

Cheers,
WoD.

Classifieds / Collection got to go!
10 January, 2013, 09:48:13 PM
Hi All.  I need to sell my collection (fairly complete from around 230 (I think) up to a couple of years ago for 2000ad including a copy of #2 no stickers though).  Also have a good number of Megs but nothing recent plus annuals, specials, etc.

Also need to move my DC/Vertigo and other comics (Sandman (I think complete), Batman, Superman, Flash, etc. plus some more obscure stuff I'm sure).

Open to offers, but you'd have to collect (near Cardiff) and take the lot - you can eBay what you don't want!

Books & Comics / Android Comic Viewer advice needed
08 September, 2011, 12:46:41 PM
I picked up a cheap Android tablet (Hannspree - Hannspad) and I want to put a Comic Viewer on it.  Problem is it has a limited App Center and I can't find a viewer.  I tried to download one from Freewarelovers, but the AVC one on there just crashes.  I can't connect to the google marketplace so I'm out of options at the minute.

Anyone recommend where I can DL one?

Thanks.

General / Lawgiver...

Has anyone tracked the frequency that different 'bullets' have been used over the years?  I wonder if their use varies in popularity with time or different writers??

Guess who had trouble sleeping last night...

Just read an article over on SFX webpage about openly gay comic characters and wondered how many there's been in 2000ad over the years?

Out of interest, and directed to our friends in the Dark North (Rich and Bou...I'm looking in your direction); have you had any ash falling yet?  And, if this does somehow mix with the rain water to form some Zombie Raising Elixir...could you take the time to post on here to let us know so we can take pre-emptive action?

Thanks...

Wake's latest (excellent) Dredd badges made me wonder...what's the shortest Judges's name ever to appear on a badge?

Classifieds / Getting rid of my Comics
07 February, 2009, 06:19:32 PM
I'm wanting to sell all of my comics...which is a reasonable collection.  Tooth mainly complete from 320 ish (plus #2 and a few earlier progs) most annuals, most Megs, etc.  Other stuff would be a lot of old DC from the 80's and 90's - Batman, SuperMan, Hulk, Flash, Sandman, X-Men, TMNT, and stuff like that.

My question is, as I'm really lazy...what's the best way to do this?  Ideally I'd like to sell them all together and also ideally to someone who'd like em as much as I did.  I don't really have that much time to take it on as a project and go the ebay route...so is there another option?

Cheers,
WoD.

Help! / Electric Help Needed...Deck Lights
19 September, 2008, 12:00:24 PM
Don't start eyebrows...

I'm not a leccy so I need some help...got lights on the deck (LED's - quite nice - 10 off).  As the summer has been so pss poor the wife is getting a few of her friends round in a last ditch attempt to sit outside and 'enjoy' the weather...and also to see the lights as we rarely put them on.  However, when we went to use them yesterday (they worked fine the day before), only two of the lights were working properly.

Initially only 2 of the lights nearest the transformer were lit (the rest didn't appeared to be on), then later all the lights were on, but the two nearest the transformer we considerably brighter than the rest.

Any 'bright sparks' (see what I did there) have a feel for what could be happening?  I really need to get these sorted to keep the wife happy...so thanks in advance!

Help! / Shopping in the States
14 August, 2008, 07:02:37 PM
I'm making a trip shortly and was wondering if it is possible to pick up a bargain to get the Christmas shopping started, but I'm confused on compatibility on some things...so...

DS and PSP games - I think they are region free, anyone confirm?

Wii, 360, PS3 - all region coded I think.

MP3 players (like ipod touch) are they region coded?

Anything else to be wary of?

I've bought toys in the past for the family as they can be a bit of a bargain on occasion.
