06 February, 2016, 08:54:35 PM
Am I the only one that thinks that Ro Busters like a lot of Mr Mills out put in recent times is getting money for old rope.
Let's tell exactly the same story as I told years ago but make it longer.

Books & Comics / Dreaming Eagles

Dreaming Eagles is the best  read I've had for a while.
Only read issue 1 and already want to know more.
It also help that I've been a fan of Mr Coleby since Clockwork Pineapple and his art on this is superb.

News / FUTURE SHOCK! 2000AD Documentary announced
17 January, 2016, 06:33:34 PM
Had it bought for me for Xmas and just watched it.
As much as I enjoyed some of it I thought there were so many things it missed out on and creators who either didn't appear or who were given very little screen time.
Was more a Pat Mills history of 2000.

News / Mega City Zero (IDW)

The only good IDW Dredd universe stories were written or drawn by creators who had previously worked on Dredd.
The Anderson and Year One storylines were enjoyable but everything else has been destined for the bargain bucket.
Even their Dredd classics have looked no better than the 'Quality' reprints.
I've picked up all the IDW comics out of UK & AUS bargain bins.

One thing I've always liked about the board are the jokes that pop up from time to time.

News / Mega City Zero (IDW)

I thought after there first attempt that IDW might have learnt a few things from their failure to get a Dredd comic right.
How wrong could I have been, truly awful and with 5 different covers it seems as if no matter how much we moaned about multiple covers in the 90's the comic companies are still trying to screw every fanboy as much as they can.

I've got this on order and will persevere til issue 3 and if it remains this bad then I'll pick up the issues in the bargain bins as I did for the initial IDW Dredd's.

Finns role in Ep 8, well those rebellion toilets aren't going to unblock themselves.

I don't think I will be seeing again before it goes to cable.

Does that mean we won't be seeing any more posts about it until it's shown on cable?

It's at times like this that you can see why there was an exodus of people away from here.

Weren't you leaving forever? Or was that me? ;-)

Cheers!

Jim

LOL, probably me, but I dip my toe in to see if things have changed.
Then I see that you're bashing your head against the same brick walls and realise that as good as this place can and draws in some great boarders it's also the 2000AD home for Futsies.

Reallt a surprisingly fun trailer, although unfortunately it went for a rape joke right at the end po, so it can feck off AFAIC.

Rape joke, did I miss that.
I thought it ended with a prom sex joke.
