Looking to bulk out my portfolio with more up to date work, thought some 2000AD portraits would be a good place to start.
The plan is to start on Thursday 29th Jan and do a portrait each day for 5 days.
So... any requests? Any 2000AD or Megazine character you'd like to see me try and take a crack at?

That list reads like an uber question fom prog 2016's 2000ad quiz :)
Barely out of the 'A's there James. This'll have to be six-month residency at least.
The A's didn't go unnoticed.
Let's do this right. I always liked Aaron A. Aardvark.

These are great James, this thread is going to be top of my check list for the next three days!
Ha ha! He looks mental! Brilliant!
James, been waiting for this all day. He is captured perfectly (an utter nutbag). This will be a top discussion topic at the Belfast 2000ad Discussion Group meeting tomorrow. Z
Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaatttt! These are prog-cover quality.
Ace is still with us, point and all! Brilliant.
Seriously James your abundance of talent upsets me.can't wait for the rest. Can someone change the thread name to 365 portraits in 365 days.
Well that's just lovely BUT todays the one I'm most excited about and given the quality so far with good reason.
GruberGruberGruber... :D
I have Ace as my screensaver on the phone and every time I see him it makes me smile like a loon.
Love the rendering on that Archie pic, James. ;)
Fantastic stuff. Looking forward to seeing the rest of them.

James my man, if you aint getting a call from someone after this then I may as well move to Tau Ceti. As a CV goes this is a sine qua non. I am truely impressed. Z
Someone give this guy a script.seriously good.
There's the cover to the Harlem Heroes hardback right there. Incredible work.
Deadly, and why has Artie not turned up as a villain in Dredd? Mike C are you reading this ;)
James you are really knocking these out, well done.
Exceeding my already high expectations, great work. A. Garp is horrifying.
Well Artie is as fantastic as I was hoping - wonderful stuff.
Jaw drops, and i'm 16 again gazing at my favourite character - awesome Artie!

Lovely - and I get a co-creator credit for asking for it!
Top class again James.
Its now become cliche to join the praise each time you put one of these up, but what the heck some cliches are there for a good reason!
Fantastic.
Only six minutes to midnight gonna get a deadline day after all.will James submit atalia jaegir intime.
Day 5 - Jaegir
(http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-aVBgPFu-16s/VNANvhc-V2I/AAAAAAAAAGQ/RBjy2D-TMn4/s1600/jaeger_1000.jpg)
3rd attempt at Jaegir. Had to call it a day 'cos it was driving me a bit bonkers.
Ha nicely timed James.more superb work.5 super works but it's Ace Garp for me.now for your next five portraits I'd like the Gronk,Kazan,no 5 from mechanis...... :)
The subject matter drove you bonkers or the sheer grind of 5 daily portraits ?!
If the former, did the least outlandish subject give you less to get your teeth into? On the face of it a more human subject should be more "routine" but lacks the quirkiness of the others. Did wonder how it would turn out as we've only ever seen Coleby's Jaegir.
A huge treat, anyway, thanks JD. I agree that the Garp is the pick of the bunch. Very disturbing and impressive...
Wonderful work!
This has been a riveting romp through some of my favourite prog characters. Well done James for 5 days of smiles. Z

The piece wasn't working out how I wanted and I'd been staring at it most of the day. I'll probably try again in the next couple of days.
C'mon James we want more. But pace yourself and give of your best. Z
Five slices of arsomness there. If I was wearing a cap, I'd doff it to you sir!

Don't worry, Zen. With all the compliments I'm getting here and

Now I just have to kick back, sit on my ever expanding arse and fortune is sure to follow!
Top stuff give that man a star scan residency! What's your Facebook handle? All the James Dilworths it offers me don't look like they are you. Cheers!
