"I'm hoping this might make the voting this month but somehow I doubt it "

Yeah, that part really is letting me down!! ;)

Seriously, I have almost no time for drawing at the moment, yet somehow I manage to keep justifying to myself that I should be doing these pictures instead of studying in my spare time.......so the votes don't really matter just as long as I can feel happy about spending less time reading about balance sheets.

Nah, only joking, it's all about the votes! ;)

Looking forward to seeing everyone elses entries!

Here is my effort.
By fluke rather than design it meets the 'series-name' rules.....

Anderson PSI vs ABC Warriors!

Not read it myself - but would welcome the opportunity.
I also hadn't read a single page of Meltdown Man (despite being a long-time reader) until I had the EE reprints and I can honestly say I thought it was fantastic.
It was absolutely everything I love about comics (and did a good job of making me feel 11 again).

Shako didn't do it for me in the same way though.

It's turned into a 'Degree Anonymous' meeting!

"Hello everyone, my name is Simon (Ba(Hons)) and I haven't used my degree in 15 years"

My first job (and MANY subsequent jobs) paid less than £7000.
9 GCSE's, 4 A-levels and a degree.....and the 16 year old school drop-outs all got paid more.

I'm not bitter.

How much does a mercenary get paid then? Do they have flexitime?

My favourite subject was always art, and no matter what the 'theme' of the lesson I somehow managed to get away with just doing illustrations of comic/cartoon characters!
I never had to make any effor at it and just kind of cruised through. Backfired when I tried to get on an art degree though as they said I was to specialised! :(

I pretty much hated absolutely everything about school after the age of 10 but somehow managed to cruise through most subjects (maths included....though it isn't so good now!).

Paul - I also went off to University to study Geology/Climatology/Earth Science.....I was desperately disappointed with it at university level after enjoying it at A level and dumped it after the first year to do Human Geography.
What a complete waste of time that was.

So I'm 33 years old, due to be redundant by May, starting studying to try and be an accountant by 40.
After trying to get through the first exam I can officially report that I feel far too old to be a student again - its a struggle, and one that isn't helped by a hyper-active two year old!

It took me two days to build up the courage to point out the lack of a 'November' thread....I'm not about to actually START one.

How is everyone getting on then? Can't say I'm too impressed with my own effort so far.

Just a thought seeing as some pictures have already been posted - shouldn't there be a new thread for the 'deathmatch' competition, showing deadlines etc?

Well, Ive started mine now and (completely by chance) it falls in with 'story name' rather than 'character' name.

Does it really matter? It's only meant to be a bit of fun after all! ;)

This has just become a bit tricky.

I'm finding myself trawling through lists of character names.....
