Rebellion must be doing ok to be employing 60 more people, so maybe its time they took the leap into the ever growing world of MMORPG's.

I can't think of a better setting and with such a huge wealth of characters and back story, there would be countless ways of bringing this to life.

With the online market at $3.4 Billion dollars in 2005 and research predicting it will likely reach $13 Billion by 2011, I would much rather see a portion of that going to Judges and Perps instead of the usuall Elves and Trolls.

I understand that MMO's cost alot of money, but done right, that money would be well spent.

That's the last time I tell you anything, Mr Brunt

Leaving aside the issue of exactly who I'm talking to...

MMOs:

-- Are expensive to develop
-- Require expensive infrastructure
-- Require a steady stream of new content (more money)

...weigh this against the chances of a reasonable reward (IIRC, there is typically only one really successful MMO on the market at any one time - the rest fight for scraps) and I wouldn't be surprised if Rebellion were steering well clear in favour of more traditional game types.

BTW - if you are Scott Nestel, was it the mention of bald men with erect members that drew you back tonight?

In order to prove your identity please submit an image of your favorite MMORPG character with your face superimposed using photoshop.

...together with an accompanying note explaining that, "No, I'm not bald, I've just got a high hairline..."?

Also resist the urge to flood the Internet with a plethora of doctored pictures of World of Warcraft characters heads Photoshopped onto gay porn.

Hey, it makes an ideal area for advertising - think cross promotion!

Bolt-01

I hope that is Scott, as if not you lot just jumped on a poster for nothing more than a suggestion...

If it's popular and works out. I would loive to see the other 2000Ad worlds added.

No like in the same universe, but multible dimesions that character can check into and out of.

It isn't Scott. r33dude has a genunine email address and a profile page and I think an apology is in order.

Cheers,

I think it would be a great idea but the sucess of it would depend on how many people signed up for it and the last thing rebellion would want to do is spend a fortune developing something if it's not going to take off. And what's with the mistaken identity, is Scott barred or something?!?

Bolt-01

This has been said before, but what would it cost to put together something like Urban dead?

It could be either judges or perps, with different skills gained over time.

Or Norts & Southers...

Keep it simple enough and I'm sure that the game would build over time.
