General / boo plug elephantmen!
06 September, 2009, 06:11:25 PM
just in case anyone's interested, my first whole American comic will be on the shelves this thursday! Elephantmen issue#21 'KILL!KILL!KILL!' written by Rich Starkings and drawn by me is a pretty kick-ass outing and 'an ideal jumping on point' as they say. for anyone unfamiliar with the Elephantmen universe, it's much more 2000AD in style than your average American comic and features massive genetically engineered battle-beasts and their attempts to integrate with post war society - 'blade runner meets taxi driver', as they also say...

for more info check out the elephantics at :

or me blog:

News / Boo's Elephantmen 'Wartoys' covers...
30 May, 2007, 06:19:06 PM
hi folks!

should anyone fancy a sneaky peek at my latest stuff for Image , you can check it here :

http://www.comicraft.com/clients/EMwartoys01_03.jpg

it's for a 3 part off-shoot from the main title , relating the as yet unseen 'war years'-- anyone unfamiliar with the world of Elephantmen/Hipflask can get good brainstuff at www.hipflask.com too!

in my humble opinion , Elephantmen is a superb comic, with a very '2000AD' feel/sentiment , and is infact written and put together by AD veteran Richard Starkings - can you dig it? CAAAN YOOUUUUUU DIIIG IIIIIIT?

also i can confirm that as of issue #12 of Elephantmen 'proper' , i shall be taking over from the exceptionally  mighty Mr.Ladronn as cover artist, leaving him more time to concentrate on the Hipflask strip...

needless to say , i've been doing my little dance ; )

cheers!

Links / boocook.com lives!
11 May, 2005, 07:29:48 AM
seeing as 99% percent of my stuff is work for 2000ad , i thought i'd post a wee pointer to my website which i've finally got floated on the web(fingers crossed). if you fancy a look you can access it via www.boocook.com or just boocook.com...

in the ' royal gallery of art - planet vokk ' section ,  theres illustration, cover, comic and sketchbook zones , plus a nerdy step-by-step section which goes in depth on the creation of  an a.d. page and a dredd cover if anyones interested....

and....ahem...theres some downloadable music sort of stuff....it's different. anyone who's downloaded the 2 songs from the a.d. sight will have a rough idea what to expect , but theres quite a range of wierdscapes, plus some collaborations and crazy improvised stuff - it's rowdy , but humorous in a twisted kinda way...parental warnings etc.....

well, if you can be arsed , i hope you enjoy having a look round . it should all be there , but i'm new to this website game so expect to get sucked in a few black holes.. . i intend to add to it as i go along , so check back for news and art updates etc...

surf on!
cheers -

boo.
