Title: Microssoft Works and Windows 10
Post by: Tombo on 05 June, 2016, 02:18:31 PM
Some tech help/advice is needed.  My father has been bugging me to upgrade from Windows 7 to 10, the free window is running out.  I'm not too fussed about 10 (it seems like nothing special to me) but I'm wondering if either:-

A - Windows Works works in 10, or if

B - There's an alternative programme available (preferably free) which opens .doc etc. files

The reason for asking is that I've got about thirty various indexes and other files created in Works which I'll need to use in 10.

Openoffice (https://www.openoffice.org/) will do the job.

If your current version of Windows works okay for you, there's little point upgrading on your current PC.

Cheers Professor Bear, to be honest I'm most likely going to stick with 7, the more I look at 10 the less appealing it becomes but at least I now know there's a way to keep my files if I have to change PC.
