General / Re: How do you store older Progs?

I've got a complete collection and have tried a few things.
What i have sealed on is;
I have found plastic sealable bags that fit 10 nice and sung. Spine to spine to keep flat. (Tired doing one per bag but gave up on the amount of plastic an space it took. 1700+ issues got a bit out of control).
Then place them in a sealed plastic box and stored away from sunlight.Try keeping them to their 100 runs. 0-99, 100- 199 . .

Make it easy to move and find things.

Hi all.

Just a question about Judge Death. Re:reading some old stories and have a question.
In the Judge dread graphic novel "the life and death of Judge Death.
After boyhood of a superfiend he was free roaming the city. The next story showed his captured.

Was there ever an ep which showed him getting caught???

I can't remember having read one in the prog or the meg. Anyone else????

I like buying 2000ad things. Things I will never read but are a collection of stories I think I will read again in the future. I would like to buy them here (2000adonline) But it's soo much cheaper to purchase off amazon.

I want to support the creators but cash is cash and the more i can get for the same price is good.

What do you think would happen if they matched the price or offered free shipping. Would you buy more here??

Any one know the plans for Nikolai Dante in the coming progs?

When he will return and it's this the final run to the end game?

I have found since DR came off art duties the boys has really gone flat.
Butcher mini is awesome. Wow, knew Butcher's wife had to die, but who would have seen that coming!

The last few issues of the boys is starting to get back in the groove. I think i might have to read them again and see if they work better in one sitting.

Hope Dk comes back to finish it.

I also will need to upload pictures when i learn how.

I have the 10 books of nikolai dante. The first two are originals when they came out. But have DC/2000ad branding.

From 3-10 are all the purple spines.

Now, did the first 2 get released with the purple spines?

And why does it bug me to have them not match????? lol

I think it is just lazy art direction myself.

A good designer would make it work so no matter how big, small. The spines would work together.

You have to think of the bigger picture. Collectors get these. Collectors want to display them.

I also don't like it when a strip has a different artist dropped into a series run. But that is a different kettle of fish my friends.

I've started getting some of the complete collections books.

A question to the droids who art directed them. Why did you not put the numbers in the same place on all the books???

On my shelf it would have look so much better to have had a consistant look. Instead of them bouncing up and down.

Am I alone here or do people agree or like it not the same on each book?

I was thinking of doing it again. Reading one a day until I catch up to the latest issue. But it would take me about 4 and a half years. . .

I'm still not up to the latest issue since i last did it..

How many guys on here have read every prog?

A few years ago I decided to read all my 2000ad's from Prog one until I caught up to the current issue. ( I didn't start collecting from the beginning but as a collector I went back and got every issue 8 years ago) Now some stories were skim read and new favourites discovered. But it was a massive undertaking and was quite a journey seeing all the changes take place over 30 years.

any one else tried such an undertaking?
