Ah... fair's fair- it's a work of genius. Even if it is for all the wrong reasons. I'd scan my favourite bit to share with the rest of the board, but I'm having scanner difficulties at the minute. That and the fact that I'm not sure it'd even be funny in a normal state of mind...

i'm guessing (well, hoping) that it will be the bit regarding a table and a period of non-hyperactivity from the protaganists... scan it, even though only about 5 people will think it's funny

Zen-like contemplation of that image is helped by baring in mind that in general the most interesting, exciting and dynamic points in a prose story are the ones that get illustrations.

Now see what you've made me do?!?  My quantum powered Hal 9000 Mac won't recognize my scabby old scanner unless I run it in classic mode.  Did that, still can't find it.

It's not that I'm an idiot or anything- honest.

Remember, Macs are more user freindly!

Well for the most part, it has been.  Trying to make sense of any of the classic functions has been pretty much a waste of time.  I seem to recall that was one of the reasons for sticking with PC for so long...

;)

Anyway- did it the moron's way in the end- took a photo of it instead:http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v69/johnnyeyebrows/zcars.jpg">

I mean, come on!  Is that *really* a scene worth illustrating?  "they sat around and did fuck all"?

Surely the caption should read "man with exposed skull wards off evil spirits with his hat and brolly"?

I'm intrigued by the background bloke in the green suit.  I mean, blue hair, white skin, pointy ears... though to their credit, the coppers don't seem to be batting an eyelid.

Obviously they're really open-minded.  Or just distracted by the brolly/evil spirits deathmatch kicking off behind them.

Art

They're probably just in the grips of caffiene-induced paralysis after downing too much super-strong expresso in tiny little cups.

You do realise that under shed-con raffle rules you have to read whatever you took cover-to-cover (or watch ... were there any DVDs this year?) or you will be afflicted by the Dread Curse of Shedcon!!! (Wyatt never watched all of Black Samuarii and look what's happened to him)

This of course means I've got wade through those two Mark Frost novels...

Art

Um, I did finish it in the end you know... Black Samurai infiltrates a 1960s hipster party, and the bad guy has a pet vulture, which is quite cool, but other than that it's a LOT of driving around, walking about, mumbled dialoge and about two fights.

Art

Also you now have to read two poorly written novels of pulp-hackery involving Arthur Conan Doyle ...or die!
