Sooner or later I'll sort out a Marie Curie donation, not least because that gorgeous Blitzspear is now on my desktop!

What about producing a limited edition print, say to 500 signed by the artists. I remember they used to something similar at UKCAC years back.

I think this would make a couple of grand to a great course.

Nice idea...

the only problem being, I draw full time ..

(and that really means full time...I don't get paid for doing this, or any of my extra bits'n'pieces i do to help out Tharg, and other artbots..)

I don't have the money to outlay on printing up things in the hope they might sell, then to give it all away!! If I had a magic pot of gold, believe me.. I would..

I struggle to juggle my own outgoings, (hey.. who doesn't?) and do try'n and contribute as much time and energy to others/small press/charity as I can.

Maybe Jason Kingsley can hire me as Tharg's Human relations bot... 8-) then I could be an agent of thrill power full time...

Rufus. the slightly burnt out!!

No worries, Rufus - you've gone above & beyond the call of duty already!
Dan Dare will return for a new adventure soon, Earthlets!

Now if Rebellion were to pay for the set up costs etc, think about what a great PR exercise it would be. Get the media involved etc.

'The Galaxy's Greatest Comic helps and Marie Curie fight cancer' or summut like that!

Get pecking the green boncer's head!

Buddy

The printing part shouldn't be too hard to organise or be that costly.

I'll have a word with some printers I've used in the past to get a costing, say 500 A3.

The hard part would be to get all the artists to sign all 500 (or whatever number) prints.

Bhuna

Ah never thought of that! Are they not having a staff/ex staff birthday shin-dig?

El Spurioso

What Rufus is far too polite to say is that he's been putting a fuckload of effort into a fuckload of things that have done a fuckload of good for 2000AD - and its minions - without receiving the fuckload of thanks/recognition/money he definitely deserves.

Hasn't gone unnoticed, Dayglo.
