Does anybody know if any art droids ever had a picture published in the nerve centre, you know, before they were art droids?
And don't you miss the readers pictures in the comic?
All the Judge-whatever pics we used to get...
-
There's a few - Shaky Kane, Simon Fraser to name two...
There's a webpage by either WR Logan or UKDane listing them all.

IIRC it is over on the Class of '79 site. Plug.

There's one on the Co/) website.
And I'm still editing their artwork for a more up to date page on this site, which will include letters as well as artwork, of which one highlight could well be the many ramblings of one Mr. Spurrier that were (recently?) published!

Greg Staples had a few printed.

Go the Class Of ?79 site or jump straight to the Letters To The Green Dude page.

Just doing a reread of the early Prog?s I bought at Dredd:Con and noticed that in Prog 117 a Jon Haward of Lowestoft won ?10 for his drawing of Dan Dare. Don?t have access top a scanner at the moment and sure someone was updating the Class Of ?79 feature ?Letters To The Green Dude?

well i have a very blurry photograph of one aged 15 in his pants ?
ha ha ha, oh yes, shame it is so blurry, and he was only a droid once a long whiles back, when we were kids he gave me cartoony drawings he'd done, i might still have them in the loft hoardings. what a shame he didnt become a big droid, or that he was a crap snog, and my mother booted him out.
if theres any lurking droids who worked on the scottish comic scene, & had a mate called ramsey as a kid & remember the art courses up north ? better mail me some cash..the photo is like really bad !

I like the John McCrea one. Was he thinking of Toyah Wilcox?

It's a mystery, innit Floyd?

"Dean Tavoularis. He's in the League of Gentlemen, isn't he?"
Dean Tavoularis was Francis Ford Coppola's production designer of choice, working on all three Godfather films, The Conversation and Apocalypse Now, as well as films like Zabriskie Point, Hammett, Farewell My Lovely and Rising Sun. Currently he is working on the film Megalopolis (due out next year), and the character of Dean in The League of Gentlemen was named in honour of the original.
