No idea how you did that Mek-Quake but looks good to me.

Here's one I prepared earlier. Not happy with it, but what the heck. Colours are added onto my last 15-minuter Dredd head post.

Anyone tried the Photobucket slideshows? Quite good. I tried including one I did on these pages but can't get it to work.

Mike Gloady

Supersurfer, i love your colour work. Really. That's so good it hurts! As for how i did the MekQuake - sketch up is a basic 3d modelling program from google, i attempted to build him as a learning exercise and artistic expression with a spot of showing the toymakers how easy to cobble together a killdozer in a short space of time.

It's all right, that's in every contract.
That's what they call a sanity clause.
You can't fool me, there ain't no sanity clause.

El Chivo

Not exactly a doodle traced the original as an inking exercise then stuck some legs on the lovely Mrs DiGriz

mygrimmbrother

Fabulous! What a pair of pins!

El Chivo

cheers m8 altho Senor Ezquerra did most of the hard work!

Kerrin

Nice inking exercise El Chivo, nudge nudge. I'd love to see slippery Jim De Griz back in the prog, the Harry Harrison books have been a favourite of mine since I was a nipper.

Bolt-01

Whilst waiting for databases to compile and spew out the bullshit valuable working data I required. Took about 10 min to pencil and then about 20 mins to ink, with a biro!

Mike Gloady

Bolt, that's really something.

I know it's heresy, but Mr McNeill's Alpha is a joy.  Shame nobody other than him and Ezquerra ever really nailed the character in Twoth.

That's some damn fine biro work, Bolt!

Now, you do realize that you could pay somewhere just north of £2K for a 21" Cintiq to get ... erm ... well, no real benefit at all?

Cheers!

That's crackerlackin'!          (Guess who just saw Madagascar 2)

Biro's are quite nice to draw with I reckon, you get a pleasant feel with them as long as the paper isn't too smooth.

Kev Levell

That's lovely Bolt, great pose, nice camera angle - just plain nice.

Unearthed this today on my facebook art page - from waaaay back in 2001, everyone's favourite macabre weirdo, good ol' H.P.

That's a kind of elongated style isn't it? I was piddling about with such a thing in th'early hours of this morning.

Then one of you talented oafs churn out something beautifully simple but effective.

It has a lovely weight to the line, tight and dextrous. An enviable control.

Or Lovecraft was a bit odd looking. In fact mgb either nails it or even does him a few favours.

Hence the joke: "Why the long face Lovecraft?"
if I went 'round saying I was an Emperor just because some moistened bint had lobbed a scimitar at me, they'd put me away!
